Blue Water Pools provided us with his phone number when we wanted a pool liner installed. Blue Water Pools gave us a price of $450.00-500.00 to have our own liner installed. We contacted Todd and he gave us a price of $775.00 because "the pool was next to a deck". Keep in mind this was an installation of our OWN liner we had purchased online and was for Todd P's labor only!. He said He decides the price on his work, NOT Blue Water Pools. His price was considerably higher than what the store had quoted us and we told Todd this and he said that he would also hook up the PVC pipes to our swimming pool and Blue Water would take care of the Hayward Heater repair which we also needed done (as he didn't do heaters). He never did the job correctly. First, he said our liner we purchased online wouldn't work, even though the box said it was the right size, and we did end up having to return it and purchased a $530.00 liner from Blue Water Pools, which we had to go pick up at their store. After he installed the liner he left our home. The next day he sent a few young boys out to complete the job of hooking up the pipes. Since the water level in the pool was not to the point where the pump could be turned on and the pipes checked for leaks, one of the boys collected the money and signed a hand-written (by us) receipt and said that if there were any leaks that Todd would come back and fix the leaks. These details were also written out on the receipt WE had provided, (since I have a hard time just paying out nearly $800.00 in cash and not even have any sort of proof of it: hence, our hand written receipt). There were 5 leaks (2 due to gaskets, 3 just not tightened enough) and we contacted Todd to let him know. He sent 4 boys to supposedly fix the leaks, however, when they came they said they didn't have the parts ( $2.00 gaskets) on their truck to complete the job. If Todd knew there were leaks, why did he not send the boys with the parts they needed to fix them? I had even texted him before they came, took pictures of the leaks and told him what we probably needed (O-rings/gaskets). I called Todd several times and he finally got back to me, basically stating that he only does liners and this wasn't his problem. In other words, reneging on his original verbal agreement when giving us the original job quote. All of this after we paid him $775.00, $275.00 of this was to hook-up the pipes which he did not do. Also, we never received a receipt from him after he said he would mail our receipt to us. Maybe he takes all his money "under the table" and that's the reason for no receipt; BTW, when I first met him I asked if he was licensed, and he said he was, which I seriously doubt after all this.
Blue Water Pools gave us a price of $450-$500 to install the liner. Their installer Todd charged $785.00 and agreed to hook up our PVC pipes and he did not do this properly. We had to pay another company to do what we paid him to do. Money is hard to come by, when you are on a fixed income. All I can say to myself is live and learn!!!

Of course the pipes blew out shortly after the installation of the solar heater draining our new pool in the middle of the night. When a call was made to Viscount that morning they told us that they installed the solar heater as a courtesy and that they would not stand behind the installation. What I learned after having another pool company come out and repaired the solar heater hook up, is that you "never" use electrical tape with water! Viscount used electrical tape because they used the wrong size piping. We had to purchase all new piping, connectors and adapter to properly install the solar heater.

As usual a great job. Monica in the office was quick to reply and the service guy found it was time for replacing a 20 year old unit. It took a week in the middle of a heat wave while other neighbor was waiting a month for another contractor.. The replacement guys were on time, worked as a...

These guys did my tear-off and re-roof exactly like I wanted it done. I had several upgrades included in my price, such as 6' Ft of Ice and Water-shield, they introduced me to a synthetic felt versus traditional, installed roof cap vent sand a solar attic fan, gave me shingles rated for...

"So let’s start with the fact that they quoted us a 3-5 day installment… it was over SIX WEEKS! When they came for a quote we told them the biggest reason we are switching to forced air heat is to get heat on the level that you walk into the house because our daughter’s room is down there and it’s the coldest area in the house, they said it wouldn’t be a problem. After they got the furnace in they informed us that they might have to take some of the ceiling tiles down in the basement for the duct work we said that’s fine no problem and asked if they needed us to do it, they said no they will handle it. They showed up for a few hours every day but not much got accomplished. Then they took down the ceiling tiles and when I say “took down” you would think they took them down and set them in a pile nicely right? Nope! They literally ripped them off the ceiling and dropped them on all our things! Couches we had down there everything! They left the biggest mess I had ever seen! In our daughter’s room she had muddy foot prints on her white comforter, they spilled her trash and stepped on it, and she had saw dust and insulation on and in her bed! They didn’t order the parts they needed until they needed it so there was another couple weeks. Then they said they were putting the house on a 2 zone system which is great, but I said if they do that and put the lower level with the highest level floor wouldn’t that be bad because the upper level is really hot and the lower level is really cold they said that’s not how it would go and the two lower levels would be on the same zone and the highest level would be by itself. Well after MONTHS of not being able to figure out why our daughters room was still cold we called them and said that we need to get it inspected and they have one chance to fix the stuff (the registers wouldn’t fit in the holes they cut, the ones that did fit the duck work fell out because they cut them wrong, daughters room still freezing etc.) so they come over and the tech was super nice and couldn’t believe the work they did and didn’t do! Ended up putting a damper in for the heat on the lower level and highest level. We still don’t know how that will work in the summer when we need air upstairs and not downstairs! So they came and “fixed” that. Then they reached out to my fiancé and told him that it was our fault that the ceiling tiles were like that because it not their job to do demo to put the duct work in … even though they never told us in advance to do it and after we offered to do it and they said no! The electrician came and told us that they would be back to clean up the mess because that’s unacceptable, weeks later however we just paid for a dump truck and did it ourselves! We will see if this even passes the inspection but if it doesn’t I don’t even want them back here to destroy other things! Look at the pictures and you can decide for yourselves but I wish I never called them it was a horrible experience lots of work and frustration on our part! Hire at your own risk!"

Water Heaters questions, answered by experts
The cost to replace a water heater depends on the type you choose (tank versus tankless) and the fuel type. You can expect to pay anywhere from $880 to $1,780 for a one-to-one replacement. If you’re switching from one type or energy source to another, labor costs will rise significantly for the extra amount of work.
Replacing facilitates energy savings, decreases repair frequency, and aligns with modern safety regulations, maximizing safety.
Yes, hybrid water heaters can be noisy — noisier than traditional water heaters. The sound they produce is often compared to the hum of a dishwasher. Its noise comes from the heat pump’s fan and compressor as they work to pull in and compress the air. While it’s not totally disruptive, especially if the unit is installed in less frequented areas, like a basement or garage, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to noise or if the unit will be placed near bedrooms or living spaces.
Tankless water heaters are more expensive than those with a storage tank, but they come with some impressive benefits that most homeowners find worth the higher investment. Most importantly, they provide unlimited hot water, so you’ll never run out like you would with a storage tank. Tankless heaters are also more efficient, so comparing gallon-for-gallon, you’ll spend less on hot water with a tankless heater. Tankless water heaters are also smaller, require less maintenance, and tend to last longer than storage tank water heaters.
We recommend you turn off the unit, the power, and the water supply as soon as you notice a leak. Your water heater tank should have a dedicated shut-off valve located on the cold inlet pipes. If the valve is broken or inoperable, use the shut-off valve to your home's main water supply to stop the flow to the entire house.
Avoid touching valves or pipes directly without confirming if they are hot. Wear gloves and other safety gear to keep from coming into contact with hot levers or components when turning off your leaking water heater.
