"It was supposed to be a simple faucet replacement but my old plumbing turned out to be incompatible with the new fixture. Seth diagnosed the problem gave me a very reasonable new price, bought new materials and solved it in short order. All done with a completely professional and friendly manner. I highly recommend SWB Plumbing."

"I love my new shower! Kevin Williams & Andre Barran were wonderful to work with. They made sure my new shower was set up the way I wanted. Dakota And David did a fantastic job with the installation. "Bragâ s Sewer & Septic is doing all the right things- quick to respond, polite/courteous, and has a systematic approach to resolving the problem quickly. Tyler called to get some details. We scheduled a time and was here on time. He assessed what to do and got right to work. His actions fixed the issue (jetting the line) quickly. Iâ m planning on some follow-on work to make sure the problem is cured. I highly recommend Brags Sewer and Septic!"

Customers say: True professional

"After years of needing a rehab and the occasional complaint from some of my tenants I finally pulled the trigger and hired this company to do a total gut/demo of my 3 family rental property in Waterville. We had them do everything from updated electrical service and updated plumbing, to new countertops, tile, flooring and they also installed a few mini splits in each unit. My renters are happy and so am I. Thanks for everything Bellevue!!"

"I purchased a heat pump electric water heater to take advantage of a generous rebate from Efficiency Maine. When looking for someone to install it I was referred to Jophil by a real estate company that I know. I called and was given a time that Kyle would arrive to give an estimate and perform the installation (if the estimate was accepted). I did accept the estimate and Kyle got right to work. He did a nice job and made sure that everything was in good working order before he left. I was very pleased with my first experience with this company and would not hesitate to call on them again in the future."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Any drain in your house requires a water trap to prevent sewer gases from entering the home. Dishwashers don’t have an internal water trap, so they must use an external P trap. The most convenient P trap for the dishwasher is already in the plumbing under your sink.

To avoid the high costs of plumbing repairs, watch for potential problems. If you see any signs of a leak, consider hiring a professional plumber. A pro can assess the level of damage and make the appropriate repairs.

Plumbing leaks are always better tackled immediately. You can also fix any minor repairs yourself or ask the plumber if they can use less expensive materials.

Plumbers can be held liable for their work for anywhere from a year to six years, depending on where you live, but in most states, premises liability lasts for three to four years. You can contact your state’s licensing board to find out how long your plumber is liable. Your local building department or a consumer protection agency in your area can also confirm the timeline for you.

Yes, you can have a toilet without a septic tank. However, it will have to be a composting toilet. Composting toilets work similarly to aerobic septic systems in that the waste, which sits in a separate compartment below the toilet itself, is slowly broken down by aerobic bacteria. These toilets typically have a vent to get rid of harmful gasses with a fan, which requires a battery. You will have to dispose of waste in the toilet manually every three weeks to every three months, depending on how many people are using the toilet.

Yes, a burst pipe is considered one of the most common types of home emergencies. Turn off the water supply to your house and call a local plumber the moment you suspect a burst pipe. Not only can a frozen or broken pipe leave you without water, but the break can lead to water damage, structural issues, and mold.
