Get matched with top water softener pros in Vinalhaven, ME

"Brad came by to inspect our very old water softener that had stopped working. He determined it needed to be replaced and had a new one installed for us the following Monday. He was very informative and didnâ t charge us an arm and a leg. I highly recommend Maineâ s Best Water Treatment."

"Rick was very friendly and informative. We had him come in for a water system quote to remove iron and manganese from our water. He sampled our water, gave us the results immediately and also tested our air quality. He was so thorough and knowledgeable that we were able to close the deal on both a water treatment system and air purifiers that are already making a noticeable difference!"

"The company's responsiveness to our urgent situation was extraordinary. The owner made a 60 mile trip to examine our situation on Sunday morning! He expected at least a week before they could do the work, but he got it done the next morning so that we would have safe water...we had been waiting for another contractor for more than 3 months! The installed radon mitigation system has performed flawlessly. We are grateful and confidently give AquaMax our highest recommendation."

"This year, my shop was in the basement (I make turned wooden bowls) radon level inexplicably increased from the 2.5 - 4.0 level to 8.0 - 11.0 level. I decided I was not going to work down there unless I did something about radon abatement. The guys said I needed one port under my basement floor, but I opted for two --- one near the exit port of the system and one in the center of the house. I had crushed stone and a vapor barrier under the floor, but radon was still getting in. After the installation lasting 3 hours, twenty-seven hours after install, the level was 0.83. Now after 1 week the level is 0.48 I am ok with that. I have not seen the results from the lab yet, but my continuous meter has been a good indication of what is happening. I am concerned now about radon in my drinking water, but cannot comment on that yet. Dick P Alna, ME"

"I received a call back from Richard within 4 hours of sending an e-mail asking for help with a slow-draining and unusable toilet.  He sent Jim to my house that afternoon and the problem was fixed within 2 hours at a very reasonable cost.  Jim found a plastic air freshener that had been dropped into the toilet (likely by my 2 yr old) and had gotten stuck in the drain.  He had to pull the toilet off the floor and push the item back through the drain, which was difficult since it had gotten stuck during all my forceful attempts to snake the toilet.  He also made sure to replace the filler valve when the water wouldn't stop flowing.  They even arranged to let me pay via PayPal when I couldn't find my checkbook.  What more can you ask than a fast response, a job well done, a reasonable price, and flexibility when doing business?  My experience was top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for any future repairs or projects."

"Not good. The water leaks had caused black mold that had to be repaired. When repairs were completed 3 months later, the valves still leaked from the stem when turned on. It was past 60 days so I had to pay another $100 service fee to have the water leaks fixed. He tightened the packing and quoted $350 to replace the valves. Sheesh."
