"Bob came over as expected and painted my room. It only took him 3 hours, yet I paid for 6. However the trim work was a mess and he offered to come back the next day to do it so I could get the 6 hours I paid for. So after he left I went out and purchased the trim paint to have ready for the next day. He was back the next morning and my room looks great!"

"He repaired my fences, put a lock on a fence and cemented a post in. He also installed a light fixture. I had all the products.
The lock? I can still open the fence. For handyman services, he does individual jobs quickly and is personable.
People are safe with these people."

Small jobs welcome

"Inspire Home Services did an EXCELLENT JOB. We engaged them to get our stair rails replaced, install baseboards and to paint the interiors. Installing the stair rails proved to be a bit difficult. It took them extra time to complete than what they had originally anticipated and gave me a quote for. However, I was not charged an extra dime more. The quality of work was superb, not compromising in any way. They paid every attention to detail, grouted, painted the rails and did an awesome job. The interior painting went very well. She showed up on time every single day. Multiple coats were provided for darker colors. Some of my walls were fully hand painted instead of the traditional rollers for a much better look and feel.Wall blemishes were all taken care of with no price increase!!! She also painted a hard to reach wall above my stair way and reinstalled the glass fixtures. Very hard working. Never slowed down a bit. They are ethical, hard working, polite and obviously take pride in doing a job right! Inpsire is on my favorite list for any future carpentry or painting work."

"K.J. Construction was great!!! He knew exactly what we wanted and did a wonderful job. I especially liked the fact that when he left I had hardly any cleaning to do and my driveway(where he set up workshop) was immaculate. I would definately reccommend him again and we will have him back for a lot more work. Thanks K.J. Construction! Great job!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The lifespan of wire fencing heavily depends on factors like gauge, material, coating type, and environmental conditions. However, with proper maintenance, many wire fences last for 20 to 30 years. Coastal areas or regions with high rainfall may see reduced lifespans of 10 to 15 years due to increased corrosion risk.

The bottom strand should sit between 12 to 15 inches from the ground. If you have a problem with small critters, you can aim for 8 inches. Three-strand fences should be 16 to 19 inches apart, four-strand fences should be 10 to 12 inches apart, and five-strand fences should be 8 and 10 inches apart.

The most common hog wire gauge for a fence is 12.5. However, you can choose from a few gauges based on your needs. While 12.5 is a reliable gauge for penning in large, strong animals, 9 gauge is a better option of you have large animals that are easily spooked, such as horses. For smaller animals, like dogs or pigs, you can use a 16 gauge hog wire.

Rust, bent panels, loose posts, and broken welds often require repair.

A silt fence should be buried in a trench that is 6 to 12 inches deep. A depth of at least 6 to 8 inches is necessary to prevent water and sediment from running underneath the fence. A deeper trench, up to 12 inches, provides better anchoring during wet and windy weather. To ensure proper installation, look for a red line on the silt fence fabric, which often indicates the correct burial depth. Always adhere to local guidelines and regulations; a professional contractor will be familiar with these requirements.
