Rider's Home Improvements

Rider Home Improvement did a great job with our cabin portico project. We wanted to cover our front entry steps with a small exterior addition to protect the steps and keep the entry free of snow and rain. The cabin is rustic, so we wanted rough sawn cedar and stone bases to keep the look of our log cabin. Craig Rider was extremely good about being pro-active, following up promptly, and showing up when he said he would. We had a few sub-contractor and weather issues that impacted our schedule, but Craig kept us on his radar and made our small project a priority. We had a few concerns about material quantities, measuring, and overall design aesthetics, but with continuous in-person conversations, we achieved what we set out to achieve. Craig’s pricing was fair and transparent. We enjoyed working with both Craig and his son, David, and are very pleased with the final project.

Very well. Craig was very conscientious about my needs and opinion, checkin with me regularly. Working on an old house has a unique challenges, but Craig and David worked together to find solutions. Craig was also a wealth of information for me regarding the finishing touches that I plan to do.

Very well. It is an old house with no straight walls. Craig worked diligently to make sure the bath walls we purchased fit and were plumb. The floor was also a challenge being uneven which Craig did very well addressing it. He used various techniques to level the floor and place the new tile. Very easy to work with and he had good solutions to the problems he faced. He always checked with us to be sure his actions met our expectations.

Craig and his helper were very friendly and communicative. They did a very good job installing and staining board and baton siding and replacing the two swing-out doors at the front of my garage. There were a couple of issues to be fixed or adjusted, but they were taken care of without fuss. I would recommend Rider's Home Improvement and would call on them again.

Kevin Rider has completed several jobs in my home. His painting is exceptional and his knowledge and remodeling talent is admirable. Kevin has a knack for problem solving and the end result of his work is beautiful. He has renovated two half baths in my home, painted walls and replaced a drop ceiling in my family room, and stained a large multi level pressure treated deck. Each room he has worked on has felt completely transformed when he finished. All work has met or exceeded my expectations, and he looks for ways to save the homeowner unnecessary expenses in every remodel job. I am looking forward to the next job at my house when I can hire Kevin!
