"Simplified Green Homes did a firewall insulation installation in the ceiling of our garage. They were quick to respond to my initial request. They sent an estimate promptly. Getting the work day scheduled took a bit of back and forth but once we established a date they were here and got the job done. Everyone we dealt with was polite and professional. I would definitely recommend this company ."

Small jobs welcome

"We were referred to AJ Pro Green by a colleague so we had them come out for a free estimate. They showed up on time and were very professional. They insulated our basement during our remodel and we couldnâ t be happier. The job was done quickly, was within our budget, and communication was fantastic. We would highly recommended!"

"Did the work on schedule and when it ended up costing less, he sent me a check for the difference. As I was not able to be there or see the work, he assured me he'd be available if I had questions in the future. Thank You Corey"

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, crawl space insulation is worth it if installed correctly. Installing insulation in your crawl space will improve the air quality, help stabilize your home's temperature, lower your energy bills, and prevent pests from entering your home. Though you’ll pay more to install insulation initially, the savings you get from installing insulation can help offset those initial costs over time.

An outdoor spigot needs some attention before the temperatures begin to drop. Using an insulative cover is just one part of minimizing a frozen spigot and pipes. You’ll also need to shut off the water and drain the spigot, which leaves as little water as possible in the pipes to prevent freezing.

A vapor barrier can last over 20 years, but they are vulnerable to pests, flooding, and other natural disasters. If your home weathers a storm or is treated for any pest infestation, make sure to have a drywall pro come check the integrity of your vapor barrier. It’s also important to have a pro install a vapor barrier since improper installation can lead to tears or leaks in the barrier that shorten its lifespan.

Yes, professionals install and upgrade insulation for all home or business areas.

Insulation can be made of cellulose, fiberglass, polyurethane, polystyrene, or mineral wool. Radiant barriers are often made of aluminum or other similarly reflective materials, but they will need to be paired with something else because they don’t provide heating benefits. Cellulose is among the most eco-friendly options and may be recycled when it’s past its shelf-life, whereas polyurethane and polystyrene both emit harmful compounds and will need to be handled with care during installation.
