I started Classic Kitchen Cabinet Refacing back in the early 80′s, at the time there were only a handful of kitchen refacers. We are a family owned business. We are both proud and passionate about what we do! We have been refacing kitchens in NH ,Ma and VT for over 30 years. We offer our customers a cabinet solution that is not only superior to other “re-facing” companies, but is equal to, or superior to, new cabinets. We use only premium quality hardwood doors, use only the best stains & glazes and always replace hinges and drawer slides with premium quality hardware. Liquid sandpaper is a solvent used to soften existing layers of paint and make them porous enough that you can effectively apply a new coat of paint. First, you can try using mineral spirits and a rough sponge on the cabinet surface to give it some grit for the primer. The second option is to use liquid sandpaper on the cabinet surface so it deglosses the finish and will be ready for primer.

For a smooth and long-lasting finish, opt for an 100 percent acrylic, semi gloss latex self-leveling paint. There are many brands and types of paint to choose from, so do research before deciding which one is best for your project. Some paints even have qualities that might save you time. For example, some paints have primer so you can skip priming separately and start painting right away.
