"We have nothing but great things to say about SLTD Electric. They have come out to our house a couple times now for different projects, and they are always very communicative and deliver affordable, prompt, and effective services. They are also super friendly (and sweet to our gaggle of pets). We cannot recommend them enough."
"WB Lightning is focused on customer service. The company provided good communication and responded very quickly to my inquiry for a quote. WB Lightning is a respected company, I had another electrical service provider tell me I made a good choice when I hired WB Lightning Rods."
"Current Solutions Contracting upgraded our electrical service and replaced our panel and the experience was excellent from start to finish. He explained the process clearly, handled everything professionally, and made sure all work was done safely and up to code. The installation was clean, organized, and completed efficiently. Communication was great and he took the time to answer all of our questions. It?s clear he takes pride in his work and cares about doing the job right. I would absolutely recommend Current Solutions Contracting to anyone needing electrical work."
"This company is obviously nationwide and hires local contractors. I trusted Agies List that all contractors are licensed, bonded and have background checks. This person was a handyman and not qualified to wall mount, conceal wires, add electrical outlet. He spend five hours in my home, for a job that should have taken two hours and left the area in a disaster. The TV was hung close to the ceiling, the wires were hanging down from the TV, and the receiver was sitting on top of a plaster box because the cord was too short. He was obviously not qualified to install TV wall mounts. I have photos. As soon as he left, I called Best Buy Geek Squad. They were able to come out the next day and mount the TV professionally. I have used the geek squad in Virginia and they are highly qualified. They charge more than this nationwide company but you get what you pay for. I called Angies List the day after the disaster and said i did not want to rate this company but I wanted to talk to a manager. No one called me to apologize. I have cancelled my membership. Do not use this company unless you can be assured that the local contractor is qualified and is licensed. You should never let anyone into your home that has not had background checks. "

Greenville’s long winters and heavy snow can delay electrical projects, especially those needing outdoor work or underground wiring. Frozen ground from late fall to early spring makes trenching challenging, while spring thaw can introduce moisture into electrical panels. Frequent storms and outages in this area also increase the need for surge protection and backup systems, so working with an electrical contractor to plan around the seasons is essential.

Homeowners in Greenville often choose whole-house generators, heated driveways, and specialized outdoor wiring for docks or workshops to suit rural living. Energy efficiency is a top trend, with upgrades like LED lighting, smart thermostats, and solar-ready home wiring gaining traction. Smart home features, such as WiFi-enabled panels and remote monitoring, are also popular, especially for seasonal or vacation properties in the area.

When starting electrical projects in Greenville, it’s wise to plan for more than just basic wiring and labor. Older homes often require panel upgrades or replacing outdated home wiring, which can uncover additional repairs. Permit and inspection fees are standard for most jobs. Rural properties may need longer wire runs, and tough winter access can mean extra work for your electrical contractor, especially if basements or crawl spaces are involved.

Electrical upgrades in Greenville can impact heating, water, or communication systems, particularly in older homes. For example, panel upgrades may require adjustments to furnace controls or well pumps, and new home wiring could disturb insulation or trigger additional code requirements. If your electrical panel is near other systems, coordinate with an electrical contractor to ensure all equipment continues to function smoothly during and after the project.

In Greenville, start your seasonal inspection by checking for winter-related moisture or ice damage each spring. In summer, focus on outdoor outlets, dock wiring, and air conditioning connections. Fall is the time to test generators and inspect heating system wiring. During winter, monitor electrical panels monthly for condensation or ice, and check outdoor components after storms to keep your home wiring safe year-round.
