Mark and his "right hand," Liz are a pleasure to deal with, they're like friends. I've had Mark's skilled and friendly crew clean the boiler chimney and repair the chimney cap. Mark's crew is clearly knowledgeable and works with care and artistry. Both projects reasonably priced compared to other contractors. I highly recommend Eastern Chimney.

I worked with Mark who made sure my family had a safe and to code chimney. He even came back to not only make sure everything was set right, but even taught me how to light a wood stove. As a Floridian, it was very much appreciated

They arrived in the appointed day and inspected. They were pleasant and respectful. The inspection cost $105 and took 5 minutes. They said my chimney was built poorly, wasn’t dangerously leaning and needed either straps or a rebuild. Paperwork is blank, they wont return messages and haven’t sent the promised quotes for my options. Based on this experience I don’t feel like I can trust the inspection and nothing got resolved.

Overall I'd rate my experience as Awful. Mark is the most unprofessional and poor quality contractor I have ever had the displeasure of working with. He was unable to clearly communicate, forgetful of the plans we would make and it took three trips with his company to complete a one day job. The last of which had them still working at 10:30 pm. I still after $6500 do not have a correctly installed, or drafting chimney liner, Its been in for a year and I have bad creastoe problems, and after getting a new stove, the stove shoppe informed me that the instillation was improper, as Mark skimped on materials and did not correctly line the whole flue into the cleanout, which is in our basement. Extremely beyond dissatisfied with this whole experience. Please save yourself your time, your money, your headaches, and your self worth, and do not hire this crew.

Flash light on each end is not a inspection. 1 of 2 flues was clean & took all of 5 min. to run a brush down it, same as first one. Charged full price for 2nd flue. Hosed me good. He won't answer my calls or messages. His prices are way high. $ 158 per flue.

They showed up one day after I called--amazing. I was working away from home and they were able to come in, clean the flus, and get out without disturbing my mother in law in a downstairs bedroom. They pulled three buckets full of soot and debris out of the chimney. Very pleased with their service.

Eastern Chimney was very responsive. They were there when they said. They explain what needed to be done and any options. The estimate was reasonable. They also went out of their way to fit a very tight schedule. I have no complaints and would go back to them again.

Excellent company! I'm so impressed with the work done by Mark Meserve. I will definitely be calling them back for any work we need done in the future. Not only did they get the work done in a timely manner, he also cleaned up afterward and didn't even charge the full amount of the quote. What a great guy! Thanks Mark! Oh, and by the way, you have such a nice lady working on your phones. Heidi was a treat to talk to and just one more reason to trust this company. Good people.

Good thing we were still here when they arrived as they were 3 hours late! And, never phoned to say they would be late. Once here, they did a good job checking/cleaning the main flu for our Vermont Castings insert (dryer discharge also) and all reported OK.

I always make sure there’s communication with the customer, however it’s very difficult to give an exact time frame, considering difficulty of the roof, inspection details that determine time at any location. Hired these guys to install a chimney liner. We were not there while the work was supposed to be performed. We have no receipt, no description of what was done, an invoice, the warranty that they said is on the liner. We contacted Jesse 5 times via email, left 2 voice mails and contacted Mark twice and left voice mails for the last 2 weeks. We have received no response. We filed a dispute today with our credit card company for the return of the monies since we have no proof anything was done. Very unprofessional and they do not know how to run a business. Would not hire again and will make sure we spread the word anywhere we can, and already have. BEWARE!!!!!
