Excellent company! Great communication and quality of work, trustworthy people. I highly recommend this company. This house was taken down to the frame and rebuilt with new electric, plumbing, roof, insulation, windows, drywall, floors and custom kitchen. Brian and Larry were very knowledgable and always available to discuss decisions. Brian always kept me updated on progress and returned any missed calls right away. I feel as if I won the lottery in finding this contractor. I was nervous hiring a contractor for the first time after hearing many horror stories about terrible contractors from other people. This company and its people are amazing. I can't say enough about them, I recommend them to everyone for any size project, from decks, roofs to complete remodel projects you can't go wrong with B. Contractor provided an accurate estimate; work crew was professional and effective - work was completed in the specified period (one day). Would highly recommend this contractor - was very pleased with the job and the contractor. Would use again - A+++++++!

I have used Karl on two separate occasions and just called him for another job (2/2015). I have had Karl do finish carpentry on a remodeled room and he worked with my old house and lack of straight lines AMAZINGLY well. I also used Karl to install a thermal door at the bottom of my basement bulk head stairs. He had to modify the stairs to do the work and four years later the door fits so tight it still squeaks against the frame each time I open it. I always go to Karl with carpentry issues and NEVER have to audit his actual work time when I receive the bill. Karl has fair, but not cheap prices. However, his work is top notch and worth every penny

They do carpentry and honey-do kind of things. They’re very versatile. They’ve done probably $75,000 worth of work for me over the last few years. They’re the kind of people you can let in your house, tell them where your key is, go on vacation, and come back and your house looks great. People just don’t get any better than these folks

Nate did great work, as the best price I could find. He was responsive and provided quality workmanship. He also provided quality references for other work that was outside his normal scope or availability.

  • Pearl Contractors
The roof on the house was in terrible shape; it had multiple problems including serious dipping between rafters and there was a nasty 5" drop at one point across the roof line. Pearl came in, removed all shingles and sheathing exposing the problems with the roof rafters. They straightened and braced or replaced all rafters, repaired the issue causing the 5" roofline drop, applied new sheathing, vents, and re-shingled the roof. They also rebuilt the soffits and fascia. It now looks great and more important is sturdy and structurally sound. The crew on site was amazing, they were responsive to my questions (and my suggestions), started on time each day, made the best use of the day, tarped the roof and picked up every day. It did not seem to bother them at all that I was a constant presence. Troy Pearl, the owner, was on site multiple times to ensure all was going well. At one point one of the tarps on the roof came loose after the work day; I called Troy and he had someone on site within 45 minutes to fix the problem. Overall I was very satisfied with all aspects of the project and would highly recommend this company

  • A.V.A. Woodworks, Inc.
Any home construction or remodeling should go to AVA woodworks. For a professional and friendly approach, you will get exactly what you want out of it and the price is what it is. No cutting corners here and these guys tell it lke it is. Anyone with a bad experience from contractors would know that this is a rare quality. Hopefully this helps anyone who is in the Bethel, Maine area and looking for some outstanding woodwork at a fair accurate price. DO call him well in adavance because he tends to be fairly busy and scheduling could be your only issue. DONT go anywhere else

  • One Stop Home Repair
Not impressed with the company. The were prompt in scheduling and even called to confirm the estimate appointment the day before. The guy that showed up was flustered and unprepared. He didn't have a tape measure and was so flustered by that had trouble concentrating on the work I was asking him to give an estimate on. I didn't hear from them for weeks, then another person from the company called to ask if I was still interested in an estimate. I said I was and he explained he had taken over the estimate from the original person I had met with and said they would get an estimate right out to me. I never received one or heard back from this company
