"We were extremely impressed by Asphalt Techs as they arrived this morning around 9AM. They worked diligently all day to remove the old driveway. None of them walked but ran from one task to another. The were neat and clean, and polite. The prepared driveway was then blacktopped and finished by 3:30 or 4. Brandon LaSante, the owner was knowledgeable and answered our questions without any pressure when he came a couple weeks ago to give us an estimate. He was a pleasure to work with. We are very happy with the finished driveway and highly recommend him and his crew at Asphalt Techs. And his trucks and equipment was clean."

If you find yourself in a pinch, you can try a highly diluted solution, such as one tablespoon of dish soap per 1.5 quarts of water, to avoid clogging the machine.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where you store it. If you can keep it in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, if the machine will be stored in freezing temperatures, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage. To prevent this, add antifreeze to keep it in good condition. While some suggest emptying the machine with compressed air, this can be a tedious process that may not fully drain the liquid. To try this method, rent or buy the most powerful pressure washer you can find and take several passes at the concrete, completely pressure washing the entire area. You may need to repeat the process multiple times to see results.

Overall, a paver driveway is considered the easiest to maintain because homeowners are able to do driveway repair one piece at a time without impacting the rest of the driveway. Unlike paved options, paver driveways contain individual stones that aren't physically connected. By comparison, you may need to reseal or redo a full asphalt driveway if just one portion sustains a significant crack.
