"They came early on Friday and had the entire old and cracking double wide driveway and apron ripped out, new gravel and subsurface graded and rolled and all prepped for Paving . Said they would be here at Mon at 8am and they showed up at 7:30 ready to work, They were done before noon and did an awesome job. Cleaned up every bit of spilled paving material. The crew was absolutely fantastic, Polite, Courteous and definitely Professional. Their estimate was a little higher than the other two but Joe (the Owner) took the time to fully explain everything he was going to do and the reasons why . Overall a Fantastic job!"

If pavers are uneven but not sunken, lift the affected bricks and check the bedding sand underneath. In many cases, simply smoothing out or adjusting the sand is enough to level them. Add or remove small amounts as needed, then press the pavers back into place and tap them with a mallet until they sit evenly with the surrounding surface.

The driveway apron is a technical term referring to where a private driveway meets the public street. If there is a sidewalk in front of the house, the driveway apron is typically on the opposite side of the public sidewalk from the driveway itself.

Chip seal layers gravel and a liquid bitumen one at a time on-site, while asphalt directly pours a pre-combined mixture. Asphalt must be sealed, but it will last up to four times as long as chip seal driveways. Aesthetically, chip seal has a natural, rustic look compared to the traditional asphalt slab.

A pallet of pavers will cost about $300 to $700 per pallet. Each pallet covers about 56 square feet. About 6 inches between the edges of each stone in the sequence is common. Rather than sticking to 6 inches, some people measure the length of the entire path and adjust the space between stepping stones a couple of inches wider or narrower than 6 inches to make sure the entire path fits the length perfectly without having to cut a paver at either end. Other people prefer a design with a 24-inch distance from the center of one stone to the center of the next stone, which matches the stride of an average-sized person.
