"Apartment and condo dwellers... you know how hard it is to get get good carpet cleaning if you're above the 3rd floor, like I am. Oxifresh was the perfect solution. The machine is lightweight and can go everywhere. It dries within about an hour. The technician, Fernando, was very professional. He took great care with the rooms and stairs (to my loft) and even rotated a big area rug. I highly recommend."

"The crew was on time, respectful, and knowledgeable. Owner, Bill, showed us where the water was behind and under our kitchen cabinet. They were able to dry it out while we were out of town, replaced our laminate floors, and gave us suggestions on how to prevent future water damage. Don’t waste your time looking around, go with Flood Crew."

"Definitely better than expected! She used water/solution mix (or whatever it's called) when it came to mopping the floors, where other companies had just sprayed solution and mopped with a swifter type mop. I just wish I could afford her on a more regular basis."

"Mr. Zia was our sales representative at the Germantown store. He was extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable about the carpeting options.  He was prompt in getting back to us via phone if we needed additional information. The installation was done in a very thorough and neat manner. The two men arrived on time, and worked throughout the day very diligently. They also thoroughly cleaned-up after they had finished. I would definitely go back to Floor Covering Center in the future.

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

Polishing a concrete floor isn’t as expensive as it sounds—it’s actually one of the more budget-friendly upscale flooring options out there. On average, it costs $4,500, with most projects falling between $1,000 and $8,000 . When you’re working with an existing slab of concrete, you skip material costs entirely, so it’s even more affordable. If you want a glossy, durable floor without paying hardwood or tile prices, polished concrete delivers serious shine without the sticker shock.

Yes. Baking soda and vinegar—when diluted with water—are safe to use to clean sticky laminate floors.

If you have waxed floors or floors with a penetrating stain or oil, you can shine them up with some more wax and a cloth or floor buffer. After cleaning the floor thoroughly, apply wax to the floor in small sections and use a clean, dry cloth or towel to buff it until it shines. You can also use an electric polisher, which is especially handy for large floors.

While every professional home cleaner will have their own preference, most will use a commercial floor cleaner specifically manufactured for laminate floors. They will also use a vacuum or microfiber cloth to remove loose grit before breaking out the mop. Some cleaners will also make a final pass with a dry and clean cloth to dry your laminate floors for a smooth shine.

Yes, options like MDF or polyurethane require less upkeep while maintaining style.
