The company did an excellent job. We used them a couple of years ago to refinish floors in another area of our house, this time it was to install a hardwood floor. On time, every concern of ours became a concern of theirs, quality work.

This is the third time I have used Danzco Hardwood Flooring, and I can tell you they do an excellent job! The floors they put in my beach house are gorgeous!!!! This company is efficient, trust worthy, and dependable. Their work is impeccable! It was done in a timely fashion, and the crew that put the hardwood in the house were so hard working. I really can't say enough about this company...if you are looking for perfection, this is the company you want to install your floors. If I could sum up this company in one word it would be efficient!!! I highly recommend this company to anyone, and I promise you, you will not be disappointed!!!!! Rosemary C.

Danzco was recommended by a good friend, who I know would only except perfection. Dan, the owner, came to do an estimate. He seemed like a straight up guy. I was quoted a fair price that was consistent with my other 2 estimates. The estimate included hardwood floors in my family room, on my steps, and in the upstairs hallway. Also, they would put on baseboard and shoe molding, sand and seal the floors, and then apply 2 coats of oil based polyurethane. I was away on vacation when the men came to do the work. When I came home (late Saturday evening) I was appalled at the sloppy job that was done. I immediately called Dan and left him a text message. He came out Monday morning. He seemed pretty upset about the work that was done. He said he would come back and fix everything. The following problems needed to be fix: 1. the baseboard molding: none of the corners touched, some of the baseboard was cut to short and there was a broken piece. 2. The polyurethane coating: it was clumpy in some areas 3. The transition pieces: a number of them were cracked and they never put a transition piece between the hallway and my bathroom 4. Chips and gaps: a number of the floor boards were chipped and there were major gaps between some of the boards 5. The steps: These were a disaster. There were gaps between the steps and risers, many of the wood pieces were cut to short. They used a non matching orange wood putty to fill in mistakes and also used white caulk (which was not approved for use on wood floors). Dan and his son came out for 2 days to try and fix it. They fixed most of the molding, however one piece they cut was cracked in half and we had to glue it back together and the molding inside the upstairs closet still does not look right. They replaced 2 transition pieces and installed a transition piece between the bathroom and hallway. They fixed some of the gaps on the floors, but used a darker wood putty that did not match the color of my floor. The steps still had gaps and looked awful. My husband and I had to spend two days fixing the steps, putting putty in the gaps, staining the putty to match the floors, then applying two coats of oil based polyurethane on the steps and entire upstairs hallway. After our hard work they look ok, but are not perfect. The entire process was extremely stressful and very time consuming for my husband and myself. It cost us time, money, and a great deal of personal stress. All of this could have been avoided if we went with another company I would never recommend Danzco and suggest that you choose another company.

The company was able to work us into their schedule and do the work before the moving truck arrived!
The work was done professionally and accomplished exactly as we had requested. The floors look great.
The company showed up on the day promised (a couple of hours late on day one, the "machine" had to be brought from
another job to ours- it weighs 400 pounds so the guy needed help!) and the sanding and first coat done on schedule; a day or so later, the final coat and all of the quarter round moldings were installed - that took about 3 hours late one afternoon. Only "timing" glitch- the guys finished up early one day and left, I expected them to be there for a couple more hours. When I got back, the door was closed behind them but left unlocked (you need a key to lock our door). Get an agreement on time and duty to lock up, or just stay with them.
We are happy with the service, the staff was professional, and things went well.

One note: foolishly, we cut the a/c back while the work was being done, should have shut it off. It cycled on a couple of times while the work was in progress. Turn yours off! Dustless sanding isn't entirely dustless and now we need to clean the air return and install a new filter ASAP.

The workmanship and follow up was excellent. The office manager was somewhat difficult in regards to the questions I had a bout the contact. The owner of the company called me back and put me at ease. He was fantastic and did a great job.

They were very professional and timely throughout the entire project. They even went the extra mile with refinishing a wooden bench and tearing up old tile to refinish the wood underneath. Overall we were very please with everything.

The carpeting seams wore out w/in a year.
The tacked down sections have begun to come up. Doesn't look like they did a good job tucking and tacking the edges.
I needed painting done as well and the carpet installation guys said they could do it.
They were extremely sloppy and didn't use drop cloths.

We recently purchased a new home in need of a lot of work.  Danzco's owner showed up within 24 hours of being called and gave us a very frank and honest review of our plans and the associated costs.  This included recommending against adding additional hardwoods in a room until we were sure what we wanted to do in that location; always appreciative of a business that talks you out of unnecessary additional costs.  Their timeline fell around the 4th of July and so we thought scheduling would be difficult; however, they showed up right away and got started.  While they may have taken a few extra days than initially noted, the house was in rough shape and the final product was well worth the wait.  The only thing I would mention was that a few weeks following, I did call and leave some messages regarding caring for the wood floor and I never did receive a response.  I have since sought an answer elsewhere, but that was the only disappointment worth mentioning.  Otherwise, we were very happy with the process and the final product.

He is wonderful and does a great job. There was nothing bad; this guy Rick was fabulous; he was so good. It was a good experience and the price was good; I talked to other people and they were the best. The owner was also very good. It was a lot of work and they did very well. I would recommend Rick to anybody and will use them again in the future.

Daniel Manger came to my house to give me an estimate at the time and date we discussed over the phone. He sent me an email with a written estimate that provided extensive detail on all of the work that would be done. He also gave me an approximation on how long it would take to do the job and what would be done, as our hardwood floors had never been refinished and I was not knowledgeable of what was involved. The price was extremely reasonable for 960+ sq ft of floors and included sanding, staining and two coats of oil-base.

His team of two people arrived on 12/21 at the exact time and immediately began to move the furniture into our garage so they could work. They were extremely careful with our items and acted as if it was their own furniture they were moving. My family was heading on vacation that week and I spoke with one of the guys before we left to give him a key. He told me exactly what they were going to do while we were gone and made sure he had my phone number so that he could keep in touch with me during the process and could contact me if anything went wrong.

When my family came back on 12/29. the floors were completely done and all of the furniture had been put back in its proper place. The floors looked absolutely gorgeous! It almost looked as if we were in a new house and it was obvious that they had taken the time to ensure a high-quality job. We must have spent 10 minutes looking at our new floors in amazement! They left the key on the counter for us along with a detailed invoice on the work that had been completed.

We were very pleased with the final result and highly recommend this company for anyone who needs their floors refinished.

I had hired this company before and had good experiences with them. This time, they tried to tell me that the job was done when they had only put on 2 polyurethane coats instead of 3. It was pretty easy for me to do the math since they can only put on one coat per day. The supervisor I called blatantly lied to me, saying that the crew used "fast drying polyurethane", so they were able to put on 2 coats in one day. I called and left a voice mail with the owner/manager, asking for an explanation and reminding him that I had a contract that called for 3 coats. They did come out and do the 3rd coat.

The first installation involved leveling a couple of areas of the underlying concrete and, of course, moving most of the furniture out into the hallway. (We live in a condominium). Ripping up the first installation, while an unbelievable inconvenience, went exactly as promised; took four days to complete the entire job. Eight months later, we`re still finding sawdust in nooks and crannies but that`s hardly Danzco`s fault. They did a great job cleaning up.

The owner, Dan, is conscientious and helpful. All aspects of the work were explained in advance. The workers in the company, however, are not as skilled. One complained the entire time he was working. Another did a coat of polyurethane that had bubbles, spills, and missed spots. Dan stood by all of it and made the necessary corrections, but if the other employees had been as skilled, the work would have been done more expertly and quickly. The company did keep on top of the vacuuming and controlled the dust well. There was some excessive wear and tear on the walls in the area.

All work was completed on time and with high quality results. The company was very professional and easy to deal with. They showed up on time, were courteous, and all my phone calls were either answered right away or returned promptly. Danzco also offered to provide the oak flooring for the patch work free of charge. Another contractor already working on my house was going to install it before Danzco's job start. They made a special trip to the house to deliver the wood. Danzco ended up installing it as well, since my other contractor didn't have time to do so. Dark (pet) stains were not able to be removed but the representative was very clear about that possibility when he provided the estimate.

The demo and subfloor repair only took a few hours. This essentially left us with an unusable house for three days. Apparently, we had a different definition of what was "necessary" subfloor repair. Part of our downstairs had seen hardwood floors before, which made that section an inch and a half taller than the rest. Dansco thought all that was "necessary" was a subfloor transition. The result was a little ramp down, with boards laid that are clearly experiencing stress. The installation part was OK. Despite my requests otherwise, we were assigned a crew that didn't speak English. They were nice enough, and the quality of their work was OK. They did (almost) finish a big job in one day. They left a few "transitions" for the foreman, which were not completed until a few days later. All in all, our excitement for hardwood floors was offset by the bad experience.

OVERALL THEY DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB. DUE TO NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE PRODUCT THAT WAS THE FAULT OF THE MANUFACTURER. DANZCO WAS KIND ENOUGH TO POINT OUT THE TINY LITTLE SCRATCHES BEFORE THEY INSTALLED IT AND GOT IT CORRECTED FOR US AND GAVE US A DISCOUNT FOR THE TROUBLE. OVERALL THEY DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB AND WE LOVE THE FLOORS.
