"I am having a truly unpleasant experience with 7th State Builders. I paid 14,450.00$ deposit in good faith. They were contracted to rebuild my deck, place a roof structure and screen on the deck. I trusted that they would complete the work. Instead, they took my money and one year later had not even started on the project. Not only did they fail to perform the agreed-upon services for the deck, but I was forced to hire an attorney to try and recover my deposit. Which I haven?t yet (over one year). Thus, creating unnecessary expenses to an already frustrating situation. I would strongly advise against using this company. She submitted the application to the county on Nov 6, 2023, around 8 PM. She texted me around 10 p.m. and asked for the $350 for the application fee. I told her I would give her a check tomorrow, but she refused to accept a check. She said I want Zelle. She said she doesn't have time to meet me. I said okay, then I emailed her the check for $350, but she withdrew the application from the county. When I went to the county today, they told me the architect who submitted the plan, withdrew everything. I reached out to her and told her if she can't finish her job, she needs to return my money so I hire someone else, but she is not responding. She wasted 10 days of my time, took my money and at the end disappeared."
