"We had new flooring installed in the basement of our home and couldn’t be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the entire process was smooth and professional. The team helped us choose the perfect flooring that matched both our style and budget. The installers arrived on time, worked efficiently, and paid great attention to detail. They made sure everything was properly aligned and finished beautifully. The new floor looks incredible and have completely refreshed the look of our home. If you’re considering new flooring, I highly recommend this company for their quality, professionalism, and excellent customer service."

"Nick and his colleagues were professional, responsible and reasonably priced. My garage floor looks gorgeous and the process was a total transformation to my garage. Nick went the extra mile helping me remove and replace some items in my garage before and after the work, including a classic car. Clean up was complete. I highly recommend the company."

"It went really well. I needed two large rooms done (removing carpet and installing laminate floors I had already purchased). I had put in a request on Angie’s for a quote and I received a call right away. Mario was able to come over the same day and give me an estimate. It was almost half of what I had received from other floor install companies. They were able to schedule me in right away. And the job was done in one day. The floors look great! No complains."

"I had a 25-year old garage that was desperately in need of freshening. I researched garage flooring options, and epoxy seemed to be the most durable low-cost option. However, I knew it was beyond my DIY ability. I got several quotes on-line, and Armor-Prep was markedly less expensive, yet still well-rated, so I got in touch. The sales representative Greg was very informative, and provided me with lots of information on options and color choices. (I was unaware that color chips were part of the process; I went with a gravel look (black/white/grey), which appears "normal" but very clean from a distance, but is very pleasing close up.) The crew showed up on time and ready to work. They thoroughly prepped and ground the garage floor, filling all the cracks. They carefully applied the base epoxy, paying attention to the edges and the transition to the driveway. They applied a generous amount of color chips, and let it dry overnight. Next day they swept off the loose chips, and applied the top-coat. Two days later it was fully cured and back in service. I am very happy with the customer service, the installation, and especially the final result."

"I met with the company for a consultation. The technician was out to the house for about an hour. The product did look very nice. The pricing was much higher than I expected to have for of my garage walls worked on. I ended up getting any product at all from the company or having any service done. The technician was very nice and I had no problem scheduling the deal. I just did not get what I expected from the deal."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is possible to apply a concrete coating yourself, especially for smaller applications if you have the proper equipment. However, for larger projects, a professional application is recommended to ensure durability, slip resistance, and proper adhesion.

Sealing the concrete before tiling is recommended to help it stand up against any water that may seep through the tiles or grout. After thoroughly cleaning the concrete with TSP, priming with a concrete primer will seal the concrete. Check the label on the primer to make sure it is also a sealant and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application.

Most garage floor paints are epoxy-based and available in DIY kits. One-part epoxies are simpler to apply than two-part epoxies, which have a more involved process. Sometimes, people also use latex-based paint because it’s easier to clean up mistakes with soap and water. Either way, make sure your paint is specifically designed for concrete garage floors. It should say so on the label.

There are many benefits to painting a garage floor, especially if you use an epoxy floor coating . In general, paint makes your garage easier to clean. Since concrete is porous, it tends to absorb things like dirt, grime, mildew, oil, and grease. Paint—specifically epoxy-based paint—creates a barrier that helps you easily mop up the mess before it stains or is difficult to remove.

To preserve a concrete coating, routine maintenance should include regular sweeping and cleaning to remove debris and dirt, promptly addressing any spills to prevent staining, and applying a sealer as the manufacturer recommends. Inspect the surface periodically for any signs of wear or damage to ensure timely repairs and maintain the coating's protective qualities.
