Stronghold Floors

This project went extremely well from start to finish. Mike came out as arranged (on time, COVID precautions taken) and surveyed the garage floor, measured, provided color selection options and explained the process thoroughly. Prior to his arrival he emailed several links to documents which I read before his arrival and thereby could ask intelligent questions. Stronghold's price was in the middle of the three estimates; however, considering this type of work is what they specialize in (as opposed to a few jobs in addition to other types of contracting specialties), coupled with the many outstanding (to include recent) reviews informed my selection. After contract signing and down payment, the two-day project was scheduled for about 4 weeks later. In the interim, Mike sent several emails with added information and reminders, especially to ensure the garage was completely empty. On the scheduled first day, the two-man crew arrived and after unloading their equipment began their work immediately which was the grinding process. When completed, they applied the Base Coat of Epoxy followed by the Decorative Chips. The next morning the crew returned to vacuum the excess chips and then apply the Top Coat of Polyaspartic Polyurea which also provides a degree of anti-slip feature. The "curing period" was a minimum of 24 hours to walk on and 48-72 hours to drive on. I wish I had taken some "before" photos because the results were outstanding. The crew was courteous, professional and cleaned up after their work on both days. Contract signing, payment, etc., was accomplished electronically. Considering the pitfalls of a DIY project (chemicals, lack of commercial grade grinders, specialized "flexible" coatings, etc.,) this is the way to go and well worth the cost. I now actually enjoy going into my garage and have proudly shown it to my neighbors.

Excellent all around from first contact to finish of the job

Fantastic! Met with Mike for estimate and to discuss the best coating to put on the utility room floor in our new addition. He explained everything in detail as well as the advantages (and disadvantages) of using an epoxy coating over other coatings for a floor this size (we had also considered leaving the floor as is or using cement paint to coat the floor). Scheduling was a breeze and was able to work within our timeline. We were contacted the night before installation to give us an ETA and they also called when they were on their way. The team (Paul and Devin) were courteous and friendly, they explained the process and told us what to expect on the first day (prep and initial application of the epoxy basecoat and chips). Even though the grinder was noisy (expected) it was tolerable. They let us know when they were done, showed us what was completed (beautiful), and cleaned up their work area before leaving. On day two, a crew of four (added Neil and Dylan) arrived to apply the sealant and anti-skid coatings. Again, all gentlemen were friendly, courteous, and professional. Once they finished up Zach (crew supervisor) arrived to review the completed work. Paul left us with instructions and when we could access the area. It was a pleasure working with them, great crew. We waited an extra day to make sure the area was fully dry before we walked on it. There was just a mild (not offensive) odor from the application (which aired out after opening the windows). We were amazed in the difference of the floor. All the blemishes and irregularities were replaced with a floor that was uniform and pristine. The area was brighter, easy to walk on. We chose the coating that had the lifetime warranty. Would definitely recommend Stronghold Floors.

After an initial Angie’s List contact and phone call, Dave showed up exactly on time to discuss the job. I was very impressed with Dave’s non-pushy and easy-going nature, as well as his confidence in his ability to do the job to my satisfaction. He described in much detail how his product performs and exactly what I could expect—he even told me that he would rather lose the job instead of doing something that I asked abbut, but that in the end, I would not be happy with. So... although Dave said I could think about it and that I could call later to let him know if he earned my business, I decided to hire him on the spot. He took a deposit, scheduled the job and left me with the paperwork. I received a reminder phone call the night before the job and as expected, the crew arrived right on time the next morning. They went about their work efficiently and without any issues. They returned the next day to finish the job. What can I say...? It looks great. It’s only been a few weeks since the job was completed, but assuming that nothing changes, I’m sure that the garage floor will look and perform great for many years to come. In fact, the floor looks so good, I decided to comfpletely renovate and update the garage... I’m in the process of adding baseboard and painting the walls, to start! So beware... coating the floor could lead to a whole new project!

Great! The Strong Hold team was on time and efficient. Their work did not interfere with anything going on. Only the work zone was affected. The outcome is stunning. My neighbor, who used a different service provider, says that the work done by Strong Hold is better than the work on his property by a competitor. Dave and his team were amazing. The price and quality were as good as promised and we are in love with the new floor. Its rugged and so much easier to keep clean than our old unfinished concrete floor. The installation process took two days and the crew left the space immaculate. I highly recommend stronghold to anyone looking for a durable and attractive alternative to paining their garage floor.

Dave McClintic met with us to explain the multi step process. He was very professional and friendly. He brought flooring samples with him for us to look at in our space. The dates were set for installation and everything went perfectly! The two workers were excellent and provided us with a floor that looks exceptional.

The process went very smooth. After researching possible vendors on Angie's List we requested three quotes. All three gave us an estimate over the phone or via email once we had given them the exact measurements. We decided to talk further with Stronghold and their representative came out and verified the quote and explained the possible options. All in all, a very uncomplicated process. Once we decided to go with Stronghold we paid a deposit (c. 25%) and agreed on a date (we had to wait 4 weeks because their pipeline was filling up quickly). The contract that was sent was very comprehensive, detailing all important elements and indicating what we needed to do prior to the crew arriving. The crew worked very well and efficiently--took them two days. We are extremely happy and trust that the work will live up to its lifetime warranty. Somehow I think it will. Will happily recommend the company.

After renovating our garage this past fall, we were interested in installing a durable epoxy floor surface. After doing research comparing painting, acid etching, and diamond grinding, we determined that the diamond grinding process was the best and most durable solution. We consulted Angie’s List and determined that Stronghold Floors was the best company to perform this work as it was the only process they did. All of their reviews were stellar so we decided to go with them. Additionally, after giving us an estimate and also coming out to the house to meet us, they also came back a second time to provide us samples of different grades of anti-slip material to ensure that we selected the correct texture that we were looking for. My wife and I wanted to be sure we selected the highest anti slip floor for safety reasons. We could not have been happier with the results. The floor looks absolutely amazing. The technicians were punctual, professional and polite. We would definitely recommend Stronghold Floors to anyone thinking of installing this type of floor in their garage.
