"Basement Waterproofing Nationwide did excellent work in a timely and proffessional manner for a reasonable and appropriate fee. They said they would complete the work in 1-2 days and were done in one day. They were very careful and left things neater than they were before they came. We have used them before with great success and would use them again. So far, the problem we had, water in our basement, has not recurred, and our basement is bone dry. Tnank you Basement Waterproofing Nationwide."

"Jeff came to give us cost estimate for fixing our basement leaking issue. He was one of most knowledgeable professional I ever meet during my initial move in to new house. He explained why it is leaking and what we can do about it in very detailed logical explanation with clear diagrams to assist my understanding. Jeff said to fix these issues if it still leaks than come back for further assessment. It was great help, and I can really work on source of this problem now. I will never use any other waterproofing company other than All Aspects Waterproofing, LLC."

"I hired Humberto and company to do some work to my back walk-up; including structure repair, adding a step, burying a pipe for the sump pump and adding some height from the front step plus a railing. Adding waterproofing and concrete surface protection. Humberto carefully explained every suggestion. Always communicated any delay due to weather. He immediately and completely answered questions and concerns. The sub-contractors hired were also professional, punctual, hardworking. Not only on time, but the project was also completed early beyond expectations."

"Exceeded my expectation with waterproofing my entire basement + window wells. These guys are the real deal! I worked with Rob and I was educated and all my concerns were addressed. They do it right by you, the contract missed a window well and they were able to addressed that without having to go through a whole new quote/contract. Helped move some furniture around and left the place clean."

"

This company and crew is very impressive.  Here's a little background info.  Our property required a lot of help due to rainwater and a broken clay pipe (50 years old).  The house sits on the side of a hill.  When it rains, the water comes straight to the length of the whole house.  The previous owner had installed a "point" drain system which was useless.  They also installed a sprinkler system surrounding the whole property which works nicely for the planting beds.

When David and Grant came out to the house for an initial consultation, I was very concerned about the disruption of current drains, the sprinkler system, and the shrubs.  First, while walking around the property, they were able to talk me through their process and reassure me that it could be done.  I never felt rushed, and they were patient with all my questions.

Second, Grant gave me an itemized price list for my property, so I could see where the money would be going.  I wasn't sure if I could afford it all at the same time.  The scope of work was major, but he was able to break it down into stages.  Through more emailing with Grant, another visit to the property, and other Angie List contractors coming out, I choose Drainage and Erosion to do the whole scope of work.  Their winter pricing and customers service sealed the deal.

Here's a list of the work done:  Excavating along the length of the house and creating two 30' French drains which flow into 6" pipes extending all the way to the curb (under sidewalk) on both sides of house (95'), Extending and connecting 3 downspouts on right hand side of house into a 6" pipe, Adding 3 drain cleanouts, Capping the 50 year old clay pipe that broke, Installing new sub pump piping and connecting into drainage pipes, Waterproofing wall/slab of foundation on Sunroom and two basement walls, Sealing cracks in walls, Installing 3 new window wells, Restoring grade for drainage, Removing all debris including shrubs not wanted, Transplanting two trees, The promise that our sprinkler system will be working in spring when it's turned on or they'll come out and fix it.

The actual job took only two days as contracted.  Grant came out the morning work began to answer questions and make introductions.  The crew of 11 men were hard working (9am-7pm) and also answered my questions.  All of this work was done by hand digging which allowed them to carefully move my sprinkler system and maneuver around the other piping.  When they were done, they seamed the grass back beautifully.  You couldn't tell what had been done unless you looked very closely.  Also the drainage holes in the cemented curb look as though they have been there forever.  We have 4 holes on the right and 3 on the left.

I highly recommend this company.

"Wendell and his son did a great job in repairing my basement wall which has been leaking water whenever a storm came in. Wendell provided a lot of information while setting up the appointment and diagnosing the issue. He offered multiple ways of dealing with it, but provided his own professional input on the best way rather than sell me on the most expensive option. He gave upfront honest pricing as well. Quality of work was great and they were fast and efficient in getting the job done. I would recommend Tru Integrity to anyone going through a similar issue of water getting into their basements."

Basement Waterproofing FAQs, answered by experts

For homes in Upper Marlboro, keep a backup battery for your sump pump, spare check valves, and a wet/dry vacuum for quick water removal. A drain snake and garden hose help maintain French drains and downspouts. Store hydraulic cement and waterproof sealant for minor repairs. Moisture meters and hygrometers are useful for monitoring humidity, while sandbags provide extra flood prevention during severe weather.

Helpful?

After waterproofing in Upper Marlboro, keep all permits, inspection sign-offs, and detailed warranties. Hold onto photos showing the work before, during, and after, plus a list of installed drainage or sump pump equipment. Maintain a log of maintenance checks and any repairs. These records are especially helpful for future home sales, insurance claims, and tracking the effectiveness of your waterproofing system over time.

Helpful?

In Upper Marlboro, unexpected costs can arise from rerouting buried utility lines discovered during excavation, or from the need to upgrade foundation drainage systems. Mold removal is sometimes necessary once walls are opened. Homeowners may also face extra expenses for restoring landscaping after exterior work or for temporary water management if heavy rains delay the project. Permit processing delays can also extend timelines and add to overall complexity.

Helpful?

In Upper Marlboro, properties with expansive clay soil often require enhanced foundation drainage to prevent water pressure buildup. Homes near streams or with high groundwater may need dual sump pump systems for flood prevention. Older residences with stone or block foundations often call for custom sealing techniques. Sloped lots or historic homes usually need tailored waterproofing plans to address unique grading and structural challenges, adding to the project’s complexity.

Helpful?

In Upper Marlboro, functional waterproofing targets water intrusion and structural risks, often involving foundation drainage upgrades, sump pump installation, or exterior excavation. Cosmetic fixes, like applying waterproof paint or using dehumidifiers, mainly address surface moisture or minor staining. While cosmetic solutions improve appearance, only functional approaches resolve underlying water issues—especially important in areas with clay soil and fluctuating groundwater levels. Functional work offers longer-lasting protection and home value.
