The team at All American Fences was very responsive and was fairly priced. We were able to get a split rail fence installed fairly quickly and couldn't be happier with the work.

  • Builders Fence Co
We are very pleased with the fence installed by Builders Fence. Our house is situated at an unusual angle on a corner lot with a natural area in back, so three straight fence lines was not going to meet our needs. Our consultant, Mark Stoner, was very patient as we worked through HOA vagaries and our own changing ideas! He willingly visited our home several times to offer sound advice but ultimately left the final decisions to us. When the HOA eventually approved the design, we were scheduled for installation within a week! Other companies told us that the clock would not start on our project until all approvals were in hand, but Mark promised we would be in the queue “pending approvals,” and he made good on that commitment. The installation crew was professional and proficient. The foreman made some tweaks on-site based on experience that made our fence look and function even better. They cleaned up everything as they left so the yard was ready for immediate enjoyment. To top this off, Builders Fence was actually the lowest quote we received, though we opted to use the company based on their BBB rating, good reviews, and Mark’s willingness to give honest advice while balancing our needs. The end result looks better than I envisioned

  • Action Fabricators & Erectors
Action Fabricators and Erectors is a wonderful local business, and I have had the pleasure of working with its talented owners on a couple of projects. I would be pleased to work with this company again on any future projects involving high-quality ornamental metalwork and craftsmanship. The first project was for several customized window guards and the second was for a small 42” metal fence. Being in a historic district with very strict permitting requirements and standards added to the importance of hiring a company with trustworthy, capable workers that could meet these high standards. I am very pleased with the results of both projects. Both have added an air of elegance combined with security to this small historic corner home on a busy and very visible street. The Pena brothers were a joy to work with and I was fortunate to work with Marty on the window guards and a few years later with Jerry on the fence. Both were very professional, hardworking, personable, efficient, and incredibly talented. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for high-quality metalwork and craftsmanship

  • Horizon Landscaping Designs LLC
Lazaro and his crew members, Fidel, William, and Issac, transformed our back yard from being a dirty and unpleasant hellscape where my wife and I never spent any time to being a beautiful and clean space where we can host parties, cookouts, and relax. The crew was extremely professional, organized, thoughtful, experienced, efficient, and communicative throughout the course of the project. I was quite impressed with their design and planning skills, extensive experience, and passion for their work. My wife and I own a small row house with a small back yard, which presented unique challenges to the crew: no back yard access except through neighbors’ properties. The crew handled this challenge well by being communicative and friendly with my neighbors and always cleaning up the space at the end of each working day. They always ensured that the fencing and hardscaping looked good from both sides of the property line, so that my neighbors were also happy! Another challenge was that an adjacent property is about 3 feet above grade and not pleasant to look at from our yard. Lazaro’s planning and vision for a beige brick half-wall, topped with wooden lattice flower boxes was a great finishing touch that provided a beautiful transition between the red brick paver patio and the elevated wooden fence to block the view of the adjacent property. The crew carefully planned their work from the beginning, so that there were no surprises at the end as the finishing touches were put on and the fence was erected. My wife and I are also confident that the money we spent on this work will be a great investment—not only for enjoying our new home, but also in the resale value some day in the future. Our back yard is now something to brag about! We are also confident that the work quality and materials are built to last a very long time. We are so happy. Thank you, Lazaro

  • MLS Welding & Repair
The team did a fantastic job. I have puppies who escape out the backyard so they fixed three of my gates and not they can run without me worrying about losing one. They also painted of my home in the backyard due to how old and chipped the paint was. I was not only satisfied with the work but customer service as well. Definitely recommend them

Fencing FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to install a fence?

Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.

  2. Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?

Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.

  3. What is the cheapest fence to install?

Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.

  4. Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?

Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.

  5. What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?

Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.

  6. What type of fence adds to the property value?

Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
