"On my initial communication with JHOSS PLUMBING, I really experienced a great rapport. I was very pleased with his ability to listen attentively, act quickly and his ability to make the necessary connections with the third party to ensure scheduling for the Generator Inspection. I applaud Jeff's quick action and his skills to perform the duties to get the job done. I highly recommend Jeff w/JHOSS PLUMBING SERVICES for Inspections of your gas line and making quick connections with third parties to meet deadlines. I give him more than the average of 5 starts because of the aforementioned. Well worth the money!! â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸"

"Miracle Method did a great job resurfacing the floor, the bathtub and surround, and the shower and surround. Everything looks new. They even cleaned our existing shower doors to look new. They removed the toilets to resurface the floor and placed new wax rings when they replaced the toilets. The only negative part of the resurfacing process was the smell of the chemicals they use. We had to open a lot of windows to vent the odor."

"From beginning to end, the experience was excellent. Mega responded to our Angie's List request quickly. Someone came to our house and discussed what we wanted, suggested websites for us to use to select options for the toilet and vanity, and prepared a preliminary quote for the project. The quote was very reasonable compared to other quotes we received and the contract very clearly listed everything that Mega would be doing, how long the project would take, and what payments we would be expected to make. Before the project began we were introduced to the project manager. All of the materials for the project were delivered a few days before the project began. The two person team that worked on our bathroom were very professional, very polite. The project was estimated to take four days, and they finished on the afternoon of the fourth day. They had us check their work and then left their work area cleaner than it had been when they arrived. We are very happy with the final results."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Replacing a toilet costs between $275 and $480 in most cases, and the average cost sits around $375. This includes removing the old toilet and installing the new toilet. Your price could be significantly higher if you invest in a high-quality brand, need the replacement done on an emergency basis, or replace your toilet as a part of a larger bathroom remodel that demands additional work.

No, you can’t convert a gravity-flush toilet to a pressure-assist toilet. Pressure-assist toilets include a tank-within-the-tank, and a standard gravity-flush toilet doesn’t have a capability to include the additional tank. If you want the benefits of a pressure-assist toilet, you’ll have to make the investment in a new one.

For best results, you should remove the toilet in a bathroom before removing tile or installing new tile. If you don’t remove the toilet, it will be harder to fully waterproof the tile around the toilet, which could increase the risk of mold growth or plumbing leaks. If you have trouble removing the toilet, hire a plumber to help.

If you experience the telltale sign of wax ring failure, which is leaking water, replacing the faulty ring takes one to three hours, depending on accessibility. This is an exacting and time-consuming job, as several components must be removed for the plumber to access the ring. Once replaced, however, wax rings require little to no maintenance and last 30 years or longer.

To drain a broken toilet, place towels or plastic sheeting around the base in case of splashing or overflowing. Next, shut off the toilet’s water supply, usually via a valve on the wall behind the toilet. Begin flushing the handle to remove as much water as possible from the tank and the bowl. Don’t flush the toilet if it’s clogged, though. From there, use a large sponge to soak up any remaining water and wring it over a bucket.
