"From start to finish, Eugene and his crew were excellent to work with. Our free estimate was much more concise than the "ballpark estimate" thrown out by other companies. While you should always budget for surprises during construction, our estimate was itemized in detail, and showed what upgrades were available and their pricing. The total price was the best of all of our estimates. They worked efficiently, were always friendly, and cleaned up each night before they left. Eugene stopped by frequently to ensure everything was on track and accommodated my suggestions for minor tweaks throughout the process. I very much recommend them and will use them for future remodeling."

"This company went above and beyond for my wife and me. We wanted a balcony with steps but we had an HOA to go through. Shaun talked to my HOA several times and even visited the HOA property management company to drop off and speak to them about my build. His two workers showed up each day even on the weekend to get the job finished in a timely manner. The 2 man crew did a phenomenal job with keeping my lawn as nice as they could and even replaced the dirt and bricks they had to dig up for the posts. This was the best experience we have had in a long time with contractors and I thank Shaun and Maryland Remodeling &Design/Build for restoring my faith in contractors."

"Rob was great from the estimate visit, to estimate delivery, and in coordinating the installation appointment (had to sub-contract in a roofer). On the day of service, Rob and Austin arrived on time (as did the roofers) and made quick work of the installation. It seems a rarity to find truly knowledgeable and friendly contractors that are both prompt and excellent communicators. This experience shined on all fronts. Will definitely be using Tim Kyle again. "First off let me say that they responded to my request for a quote very speedy. Second they did a Magnificent job with my home. It was cleaner than it was when I moved in. They even threw some extra services in there . I had my jets on both of my Jacuzzi tubs cleaned and sanitized. The tub looked brand new. My ceiling fan were dusted beautifully. My washing machine looked brand new and my oven was cleaned out very well. Those are the services I paid for and when I got home I found that my floors had been swept and mopped . Also they had washed the dishes that I left in the sink. On top of that they left my toilet paper folded into cute little triangle shapes . I will definitely be hiring them again. I am very pleased with the work they did."

"Our first encounter with Len the Plumber for gas boiler repairs went well and lead us to purchase a service contract with them for the 15% discount. However once we needed actual plumbing services and after they provided their "free" HVAC annual inspection it all went downhill rapidly. As others have noted the %15 discount is a concept they don't really honor. We were charged $1100 for less than 30 minutes of work for a repair that only required one cut and a simple joint (We had already removed the drywall and trim for access) and about $30 in parts (which by the way good luck getting an itemized bill from these people). On the HVAC side they broke what was a perfectly functioning 4 yr old AC HVAC and then wanted to charge $1200 to figure out how they broke it plus whatever parts they dreamed up needed replacing. They tried to claim the capacitor was bad. BTW - they brute force discharge the capacitors on units as part of their "maintenance check", something they should never do. We had BGE come out since their info was on the installation tag on the air handler and they diagnosed the issue in less than 30 minutes finding the thermostat had been burned up by mis-handling by the Len tech. They also said they never brutalize the capacitors the ways these guys do unless there is already a suspected issue with it. That's because the capacitor could be damaged by the way they handle it at Len the Plumber. So the "free" annual HVAC check cost me 3 days of discomfort and $250. Len refuses to admit wrong doing and will not reimburse us. They got $5000 in fees from us in less than a year so they don't care if we leave because they know another sucker is just around the corner waiting to be taken. These guys should lose their license given their business practices. Stay away from them at all costs."

"I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Handyman. I had a fantastic experience with the technician, Teddy, who came out to tackle a list of projects for me. In just a few hours, he installed a new garbage disposal, adjusted my closet doors that were not properly closing, mounted shelves and a new curtain rod, and fixed my toilet that needed a new flush kit, and sealed various areas around my second bathroom with caulk. He worked efficiently and with an incredible amount of attention to detail. I didn’t even have to clean up a thing! He was friendly, professional, and communicative throughout the entire process. I highly recommend their services and will definitely use them again!"

"We write this review as a sigh of relief now that our renovation project with River View is finally complete. The quality of the final work is excellent, and the construction crew, architect, and county inspector were all great to work with. The original crew we worked with, led by Edwin, were so hardworking, friendly, thorough, and fast. That's what really pushed us from 2 to 3 stars. However, the process getting here was frustrating and unnecessarily chaotic. Timeline & Communication Issues: Initial promise: We were clear that the renovation had to allow us to live in our home during construction and be completed before Christmas. Early communication: Our original project manager, Cris, was personable, and early communication seemed fine, if a bit informal and sometimes inappropriately personal. Major miscommunication: Near the holidays, we discovered that the plans submitted included cutting into the roof — something we explicitly said we didn’t want. This contradicted verbal assurances and caused major last-minute changes. Project Management Failures: Poor planning and oversight: Cris and the architect’s plan didn’t align with the construction work. We had to get involved directly with the county to fix errors. Paperwork errors: Incorrect submissions to the county added delays and confusion, which we had to monitor ourselves. Last-minute scramble: We were cleaning up dust on Christmas Eve due to these planning failures. Personnel Turnover & Lack of Handoff: Cris leaves the company: No proper handover to James, the new PM, who was unfamiliar with our project. Crew replaced: The original crew, who were great, were gone; new crew had no context or direction. James leaves: Another handoff with no context — the third PM had no idea about our project or its outstanding items. Escalation mishandled: When we raised our concerns with Kyle, the CEO, the response felt dismissive, with no accountability for the previous missteps. In summary, it's a beautiful end result... but we’re glad it’s over. The process left us frustrated, confused, and frankly, exhausted."
