We Can Fix That does just that - fixes just about any kind of problem you have in your home... With the house itself, that is... I am the only employee, I hire sub-contractors or other laborers as needed. I am always on-site with my workers, unless I'm going out for materials or to pick up lunch. I live in Hamilton, MD, so any jobs done in the 21206 zip code do not have trip charges. As the distance grows, so may the trip charge, depending on the job. For small projects ( less than a whole days work) I charge by the hour, starting at $40 per hour and going up for more specialized work. For projects that take more than one effort day, I generally quote it fixed-price. I do glass blowing as a hobby; there is a glass shop near here where I rent shop time to make gifts mostly for family and friends.

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Cost and age are two factors to consider when determining if you should repair or replace your concrete driveway. If your existing driveway is on the older side and the cost of repairs is 50% or more of its value, it might be worth replacing it. Replacing a concrete driveway when it's 20 years old and deteriorating in condition will save you from the cost of repairs that likely wouldn’t save it from replacement in a few years anyway.

While the two are similar, spalling occurs from deeper within the concrete than scaling does, causing larger fragmentation on the surface.

No, cement cannot be used on its own except for rare circumstances, as it's only a binder to form other products, such as concrete or mortar. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to create a concrete or mortar mix. Concrete, for instance, needs cement, water, and aggregates such as sand and gravel. Using the right amount of water and water temperature is essential to ensure you have the right concrete slump and the mix spreads easily and cures well.

The number of concrete bags you'll need depends on the width and length of your fence post hole. A 50-pound bag makes about 0.375 cubic feet of concrete. So, if your hole is 30 inches deep and 12 inches wide, you'll probably need around five 50-pound bags for each post.

Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
