"Contractor arrived on time, Was professional. Listened to our problem. Investigated under the house and gave us 3 ways they could fix the problem. We chose the one that made the most sense. They left to get the part and came back promptly and fixed the switch. Very impressed with this company. Will definitely recommend this contractor and we purchased their friends and family program. The cost was very reasonable. I am looking forward to getting in the jetted tub tomorrow. Extremely happy"

"If you have a water softener or filtration project, I highly recommend Orbit Energy & Power. I had a very favorable experience with the company . Scott Cullin, the sales tech was very accommodating with scheduling our initial appointment. He was on time, asked about our project scope, performed his water tests and made a recommendation based on the findings. He was not high pressure at all. I advised that I was getting competitive proposals and it would be a few days before I made a decision. Orbit's equipment is the most efficient, seems to be the best quality, and quite frankly had the best warranties. The installation went well. The installer removed old equipment and installed the new softener and filtration kit. He was in and out within the 3 hour time window specified. He answered all the questions I had for him during the installation. Once everything was done and cleaned up, he went through the operation with me, explaining how everything worked and what things to keep an eye on. Very good experience. I will definitely use them again"

"I am very happy with Dish. The price is comparable to anybody else. I have never checked the price of anyone else. The only other ones to compete there would be satellite dishes as part of the island is not even wired for cable. The quality of the service is good."

Why shell out thousands of dollars for rooftop solar when you can get the same benefits from community solar. It’s a simple, efficient, and smart alternative to rooftop solar. The only difference is that power is produced on a local solar farm, where it sends the energy back to the grid, reducing the resilience of fossil fuels.\n\nStill sold on rooftop solar? Consider this: \n• If you are doing it to save the planet, go with the community solar. Supporting a community solar provider like Nautilus will expand their network, making it cheaper for everyone and reach even better economies of scale.\n• If you are doing it to save yourself money, go with the community solar. It’s much cheaper for them to produce and you’ll get a discount of 10% or more on your electricity bill.\n• If you are doing it as an investment in your house, go with community solar. Unlike rooftop solar, which could be a net-negative when you sell your home in 10 years – especially if you haven't factored in ongoing maintenance costs – community solar avoids these pitfalls. \n\nToday's cost of money vs tomorrow's cost of solar is a short-investor's bet.\nMore reasons to consider ‘roofless’ community solar over solar panel installation: \n• No costly upfront expenses\n• No ongoing maintenance costs\n• No monthly or annual fees \n• No roof needed (renters and business are also welcome)\n\nSeem too good to be true? It’s not. Community solar programs are state-approved to help residents save on their electric bills and support the clean energy revolution. "The Tech came out and due to the parts shortage he was not able to replace the front panel so Choice warranty gave me a voucher to replace it. I'm very pleased with their services. All I paid was the service fee."

Solar Panels questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should tell your home insurance company about your solar panels. Even if you believe they’re covered by your existing policy, installing a solar panel system is a significant change to your home. This can affect coverage and premiums. By discussing your new solar panel installation with your insurance provider, you can be sure you have enough coverage and that the policy completely covers the panels against damage.

You’ll need to make sure you have a big enough solar panel to meet your well pump’s power demands, but you can use solar power to fully operate your well pump. It’s also a good idea to have battery storage to hold the solar power so you can still use your well pump after dark.

The morning sun can be better for solar panels because it’s often brighter and clearer than the afternoon sun. The brighter the sun, the more energy solar panels produce. The strongest rays occur during midday, which tends to be prime time for solar energy generation. Most homes get a mix of morning and afternoon sunlight.

Depending on the climate in your area, the best time to install solar panels is either winter or early spring. Summer is a fine time to install panels, too, but it tends to be the busy season, so prices may be higher and companies may have packed schedules. The installation process can take more time than expected between getting permits and finalizing a design, so start as soon as you can.

You can install solar panels on a metal roof, but it will require some additional thought and care versus a traditional asphalt shingle roof. That’s because heat dissipates off a metal roof differently than asphalt or wood, so you may need to space the panels further from the roof. However, a pro can help you with the details and provide a safe and effective installation.
