Green Street Solar

2 years after install roof began leaking because they did not properly flash and seal the mounts. They did not understand that strong winds can force rain under Shingles left canted up by over pressure from the bolts. 3 failed repair calls did jot solve the issues. 10 years later I had 54 leaking penetrations and had to replace several sheets of sheathing and some roof rafter sections. 2 years of lower than expected SRECs caused me to check the paperwork they prepared only to find they gave the incorrect azimuth of 190 (east) instead of the correct 240 (south) which had cost me $1500 in lost SRECS! When I repaired my roof, one panel had not been in the circuit, it had been plugged into it self! I just replaced the Inverter finding it also had not been wired correctly losing me around 15-20% production for 12 years! Thousands more lost dollars. ,

Job was great start to finish. Took 3 days to complete with a couple more to go online. Russell oversaw entire job and spent sufficient time with us to familiarize us with equipment, function and monitoring of the system. All questions answered and explained completely. They handled all permits and submissions.

The team that reviewed my roof and designed the system were very knowledgeable and handled the permits and interconnection requirements. They installed the system rapidly and without issue. Later they installed a revenue grade meter for me at a very reasonable price. They system looks great on the roof (hardly notice it is there) and i would use Green Street again!

Everything went exactly as they told me it would.  I had the same contact Russell throughout the entire process.  He surveyed my house personally, answered all my questions, and then returned with a firm proposal.  He was at the house throughout the installation, which went very smoothly.  Green Street did not use sub-contractors.  They have their own employees who do the installation.  It went exactly as planned.  Everyone was courteous and professional, in their appearance & in their work.  Russell demonstrated the equipment to me upon installation.  A month later when Delmarva replaced the meter & gave permission to turn on the system, Russell returned to go over everything again.  A week or so later, when I signed into the system remotely and had a question about the performance, Russell immediately investigated and updated my software to resolve the issue.  The panels have been performing magnificently.  The system has been running just over 30 days and I have produced 800 kwh in excess of what I have used for the period.  I am very pleased with my decision to install solar and I am very happy with my provider Green Street Solar.

Excellent product and service, very nice people to work with.  The solar system was installed on time without any delays.  Walked us through the the entire process and provided excellent reference materials and assistance whenever needed.  They handled all the permits and worked with the city and state inspectors and homeowners association to make the install very easy and worry free.  After the sale and installation they assisted with the state's SRec program to provided a 20 year contact that pays us for our power generation each quarter.  Do install the largest KW system you can afford it will pay you in the long run with "No" electric bill each month and some extra cash each quarter.  We purchased an electric car recently and now our solar power system is providing no cost power for our driving also.

Green Street Solar installed my solar system on my garage, which sits at the rear of my property.  They told me as long as I had a electrical box in the garage they could install it there. The other companies I contacted looked at my house on google maps and told me they could not install the system.  The representative that came to my house was very polite and seemed to really know their system.  The price was better than the other companies and I was told up front that it would take a few months for the installation.  They installed the system in about a month and a half after I signed the contract. The crew was in and out in 2 days. The crew was very professional and took the time to explain what they could about the system.  The system is very neat and  attractive enough that I would not have minded having it on the front of my home.  I would recommend this company to anyone that is interested in solar energy.

From start to finish, everything went great and as expected.  Russell was very helpful in explaining everything and the rebates offered were a bonus.  We actually had a friend who works for another solar company in MD look over the contract and he said his company didn't even use the panels Green Street uses because they are so expensive.  He told us it was definitely a great deal.  Our system is up and running and so far, 100% of our electric usage is being supplied by the sun, which we are very happy about.  It is a lot of money up front, but worth every penny in the long run.  We highly recommend Green Street Solar.

Russell showed up on time with all the necessary tools and knowledge to answer my questions. Gave me a reasonable bid and the confidence that a good job would be done. The work was then performed timely, neatly, and any further questions I have since had have been answered. All paperwork taken care of.

Russell Pfaller was the salesman we worked with. I can not say enough about his professionalism and responsiveness. As these sorts of projects can, this one needed a lot of tending and Russell was there for every step. He delivered everything he promised. It's not just a matter of installing panels. There's all kinds of coordination that has to happen between solar company, government and power company. Russell took care of all of it. Including finding us a very reasonable and professional tree cutting service (Lawson's). We did have another solar company give us a bid first but after reading all the excellent reviews of Green Street Solar we decided to have them out too. Their price was much better and the system Russell designed will get us the maximum amount we can get from our small roof. The first company was very attentive but the cost and benefits of going with a Green Street were too obvious to overlook. We're really happy we did! Russell knows and understands all the aspects of installing a solar system. The other company we had a very attentive sales person but she didn't know the technology. The installation of panels was completed today. I will attempt to update this review down the road. Thanks to Angie's list for telling us about Green Street.
