"Just wanted to let you know that we are so happy with the deck. Everyone at Fence & Deck Connection was so easy to work with. This was the easiest home improvement/repair we've ever gone through. We really want to thank everyone. From our initial meeting with Tracy to the pre and post installation meetings with AJ things could not have gone better. Everyone we dealt with just via email was also extremely responsive. It actually surprised me how quickly our emails were replied to. And the crew were also great."

"Freedom Fence & Deck did a fantastic job replacing our 35-year-old wood fence with a beautiful white vinyl fence. Jim (the salesman) was very easy to work with and accommodated all of our design choices. We found particular latches and handles that we wanted to use, and they agreed to install them for us. The contract process was quick and straightforward. After about six weeks, they were ready to install the fence. They sent out two crews at the same time, plus the owner Steve, who worked alongside them. With seven people working, they managed to finish the entire job in just one day! Our old wood fence was completely removed in about 15 minutes, and then they meticulously installed the new fence, setting all the posts into wet concrete and making sure all the sections were straight. At the end of the long day, when one of the locking gate latches wasn’t working right, Steve patiently worked on it until eventually we realized the part was defective, so he replaced it with a working one. A certain kind of handle had to be ordered, and as soon as it came in, he came back to install it. The fence materials are extremely high quality—the vinyl feels very thick and sturdy, unlike the kind sold at the home improvement stores. And the new fence has completely transformed the look of our property—we’ve already had several compliments from neighbors. The whole process couldn’t have gone better, and I’m happy to recommend Freedom Fence & Deck for all your fencing needs!"

Small jobs welcome
"I highly recommend CLM Home Improvements. We had them tear out an old rotting fence, haul it away and build us a new fence surrounding the entire yard. We had a problem with erosion as one side of our ground is 1-2 feet higher than the neighbors. Carlos recommended a retaining wall which is already working perfectly. Not knowing what kind of fence we wanted, he sent us photos with an awesome recommendation. They arrived on time, had the old fence gone in less than an hour and build the entire new fence in a day. It was fascinating to watch the CLM crew work. Everyone laughs a lot and knows exactly what to do and when. They work fast, hard and efficiently. They ensured everything was cleaned up nicely when done. They are also some of the most delightful people I've ever met. We then decided to have them come back and stain the fence a few weeks later. We gave Carlos some vague ideas of stain colors and left the decision to him. The fence looks gorgeous! When done, I was unsure about one spot on the gate. When I mentioned it, one crew member brought over a brush and stain, and began to tweak that spot. I turned around and suddenly the entire crew was back, walking the fence and checking for touch ups similar to the spot I noticed. (Yes, my jaw hit the grassy floor.) They didn't find much to touch up. They really care about the customer's satisfaction. The price was mid-range from 3 companies estimates, making CLM an excellent price choice. You will definitely feel comfortable choosing CLM Home Improvements. I will definitely call them again for my future project needs."

"The guys came in and removed all of the old fence around our 3/4 acre back yard. It took them only 3 days to do all of the work including putting up the dog wire around the entire perimeter. They also installed a new rail fence around our swimming pool with wire. They installed 3 gates where needed. Everything went extremely well. We are extremely happy with the whole job."

"Champions Garage Door Repair was the most responsive and most competitive of the three companies I reviewed. I hired Champions Garage Door Repair to replace the chain drive openers and springs for two 7x8 foot garage doors. All work was very professional. I will employ Champions Garage Door Repair for future work and I recommend Champions Garage Door Repair to others needing garage door services."

"Tasked with removal/replacement of 270 feet of split rail fence in residential subdivision. Exceptional experience: in the top 3 (of 15 various contractors I've used over 3 year home renovation project). Alcides was professional, courteous and responsive throughout the process. While other competitors I interviewed, had a canned presentation/product, the owner Gelber spent the time to understand my concerns, and proved most informative in helping me make an educated decision. The work crew of Victor, Edwin and Manola were also extremely meticulous with measurements, cutting (spanners/gates), installation and cleanup. The result is a gorgeous split rail fence with Black Locust Posts, anchored in concrete and beautiful custom cut Cedar Gates - nicest in the whole neighborhood. The entire project (initial interview to installation/cleanup) was completed in 25 days - sooner than some competitors scheduling of initial interviews! Recommend you look to the professionalism, quality and responsiveness of Alcides Deck and Fence when considering fence replacement/installation - they are absolutely a cut above the competition. I recommend them without reservation."

"Mark was great. He gave me several options depending on how much I wanted to spend and some great advice on how to make the front landscaping look nicer. He made sure I knew how to take care of the new sod in the back to make sure it didn't dry out. He was great, would definitely use his services in the future."

Yes, most states require a fencing installer to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed fence installer could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
When choosing a driveway gate, consider the fence material, whether you want an automatic gate or a manual one, and property limitations like the slope of your driveway. We recommend speaking with a professional driveway gate installer to see what types of gates will work on your property based on your fencing or home’s exterior. Keep in mind that driveway gates should range between 10 to 12 feet wide to ensure cars can easily maneuver through the gateway.
Fence installers typically charge by the hour when working on a project. Typically, you can expect to pay around $50 per hour for fence installation. Your project might take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, depending on the length of your fence, overall project complexity, and fence type.
Driveway gates are expensive to install, but they are usually a worthwhile investment. Not only does this exterior feature improve your curb appeal and, by extension, your property value, but they also help keep your home secure. Driveway can keep out unwanted guests and provide additional privacy for you and your household. Plus, they can serve as a means of keeping children and pets in your yard, depending on the type of fence.
The average cost to install a driveway gate is around $3,500, and prices usually total between $1,900 and $6,000. However, security and driveway gates can cost as much as $12,000. Some cost factors include the size of the gate, the type of gate, the gate material, and the security level of the gate. A wrought iron gate will be more expensive than a PVC driveway gate, which will typically cost more than a wood gate. Automated gates are always more expensive than manual ones, as they require additional electrical installation.
