"Austin Wells handled our sinking concrete pad and cracks near my garage. He explained everything, neat, and very professional. My wife and I appreciated how he wore a uniform and conducted himself in as an expert in his field. I would definitely call JES again, in particular, Austin Wells to handle any other concrete leveling issues."

"Good people to work with, professional in every way. Normally when we received 2" of rain water would start entering the basement. When we receive 3" the basement floor would be covered. Two days after installing their system our area received 8.5" of rain and our basement remained dry, not a drop got in the house. These guys know what they are doing."

"remove old blue stone from existing patio. put down concrete base to make water run away from the house. Use best of old blue stone and add new blue stone to patio. created a swale that directed water away from the house. Sand was used around the blue stone to prevent weed growth. Attention was given to waterproofing. Great detail given to aesthetic components of the job.  An attractive enclosure was created around the window well and edging put around the shrubbery beds. Members of the crew were very polite and professional. The company owner, Sal, stopped by every day to inspect progress on the job. His son was the foreman on the job and the crew worked for him for years. I would highly recommend this company. I find it exceptional today to have so much attention given to the quality of the job and owner satisfaction.

"Tri-State Concrete Services did an excellent job in leveling our sidewalk. In fact, they went above & beyond. They did more work than was covered in their estimate, and did not charge us any extra for that work. I’d hire them again in an instant!"

"Richard and his crew built me a 500 sq ft concrete patio. Unfortunately, the weather kept delaying the project, but they worked hard to get the job done despite the weather. They stayed late and were flexible with me and my needs. If I had any issues, Richard was quick to resolve and help out. Only thing I would change is that the weather (torrential downpours) made the work site messy, I will need to clean up some of the splatters of concrete on my fence and reprint a bit. But mother nature causes problems like this.

"Everything went great.  Marvin was courteous and very knowledgable about concrete and how to address my problem.  He and his team were very punctual and made sure to keep the job site very clean.  I've had several neighbors comment on how nice the finished product looks.  If you need a reasonable price to replace, upgrade or add concrete for your home, Marvin and his team are the way to go.

"The start date was delayed about two weeks due to weather but once they got going they worked steadily until the job was done. They were here early each morning and left at four. The workers were polite, friendly, and asked questions when they weren't sure about a few things. They left the place very neat and tidy. The slope looks very good. It's to early to tell how much better the drainage is but it is definitely better than it was. They were easy to work with and very dependable and efficient. Would definitely hire them again."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.

The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.

Yes, you can mudjack cracked concrete, but the cracks will need to be repaired once the concrete has been leveled. If the concrete is severely cracked in multiple places, replacement may be a better option, but for less severe cracking, mudjacking is a good solution as long as cracks are correctly caulked and sealed.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.
