"JES left my home in worse shape and will not return my calls to come repair the damage left. I reached out to them to install a joist support system under my kitchen so that I can renovate this year. There were floor joists under the back door that had been cut during a renovation about 30 years ago. JES installed a jack system but then left my foundation under the door where you can literally see daylight from the basement. I brought this up to the crew before they left late Friday night (they worked long hours just to ?finish? without even asking me if it was okay to trap me at home that late), and the lead just shrugged at me. Shortly after they left, it rained, and sure enough, water poured into my electrical room and all over the freshly poured concrete. I called Friday night, sent an email and text with videos, and called today 3 times. Each time the ?production manager? is ?busy.? Before this, they were perfectly capable of blowing up my phone to see if I could schedule sooner."

I called them and asked them to repair it and they refused. "My garage floor was coated in 2013 with a 10-year warranty, and areas have not adhered properly many times. The company sends workers to "fix" the affected areas, but the fixes do not hold up. The company re-coated the floor once, but I believe that the bare floor was not ground properly when the coating was first applied. Now my floor is unsightly with areas bare or that have been re-worked over and over and not looking like the original finish. A few weeks ago, workers came to re-work the areas, but I told them not to do so because I wanted a more permanent solution to the problems. I have had several email communications with a manager. All they seem to want to do is apply more coating to the affected areas. This pretty much makes the warranty useless."

Just glue the grass to the underlayment using the proper adhesive.

Building a concrete driveway normally takes between one and three days, including the time to cure the concrete. Wait at least seven days before driving on your driveway and two days before walking on it. Your contractor may require additional time if you need to level the ground, install a drainage system, or order special concrete materials. Installing a driveway also often requires a permit, so be sure to include this wait into your prep time as well.

Clean with a damp mop and reseal every few years to protect the surface and enhance appearance.

There’s no difference between a “slab foundation” and a “slab-on-grade foundation,” and contractors and homeowners use the terms synonymously. “Slab foundation” is just a shortened version of “slab-on-grade.” In both cases, the homebuilder will pour the concrete foundation into a mold they build directly on the ground.
