"I simply inquired about locating curbside / sidewal markers as we had new sidewalks put into our small community. There was a mark on the sidewalk but assume there are metal markers. Perhaps I should have just rented a metal detector. This company quoted me $1,400.00. More than double the standard industry for this simple task. Four companies quoted me average $500.00. Fortunately, we found the original survey company our title compay used in 2019 when we purchased the home in a neatly arranged binder we were given at closing. They are coming out to check and or restate for about $300 to $350, depending on how much time. There is a starter marker on our street, an official marker, so th is should be easy. I do not recomend this company. Pricing too high. I hope this honest review is not deleted. It simply is the truth. Robbi"

A professional land surveyor ensures accurate property boundaries and prevent legal disputes.

Depending on property size and complexity, usually 1-3 weeks.

You will find a collection of licensed land surveyors in your area. Your real estate agent or construction manager may also be able to recommend a trusted professional. The small lines on the tape measure either indicate inches, fractions of an inch, or centimeters and millimeters. On the imperial unit side (aka the inches side), the longest lines indicate inches, followed by the next shortest lines that indicate a half-inch, and then the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-inch. On the metric side, the lines break down meters, centimeters, and millimeters.

Professional well contractors may use electromagnetic mapping to look for places with a high likelihood of water. Water access can vary significantly, even on the same property, so it can be difficult to know where to drill if you don’t have specialized tools to look for water.
