Maryland Carpet Repair & Cleaning

We utilized Maryland Carpet Repair & Cleaning several years ago to repair carpeting that had stretched and needed to be cleaned. We had an excellent experience at that time so we decided to try them again. We are so glad that we did! Umar, Will and Chris were the excellent technicians who came to take care of our home. They arrived on time, and exhibited professionalism throughout the day as they diligently worked to repair and clean our carpets. It was a big job, but they tackled it room by room and never lost steam! The carpets look tremendous! I highly recommend this company based on current and past experiences.

The team was prompt and professional. They gave me an honest assessment of what could be repaired and cleaned. We felt the price for cleaning a chair and sofa was steep, but the other rates were reasonable. They worked efficiently and we are happy with the results.

I'm very particular and I'm a real customer service "geek", so it means a lot for me to be extremely pleased with a service provider. I am TOTALLY pleased with my Maryland Carpet Repair experience!!! The gentleman who took my call was very courteous and professional, explained the entire process including all costs and warranties, and immediately found a very convenient date for my appointment. I received a text message confirming my appointment, and - as promised - received a text message when the technician was on his way. My technician, William, was very timely and friendly and got right to work. He was joined by Umar who was just as friendly, professional and expert in his work. They were very careful with our furniture (treated it like it was their own), and even brought their own trash bag to take away any debris after they cleaned up their work area. The estimate for completion of the work was extremely accurate. And, later, I even received a text documenting the completion of the service. I am 100% percent pleased with the service, the explanations provided, and the entire experience!!! I had dreaded getting this done for quite some time. But it was a breeze!! I believe it was a very fair price; and I would DEFINITELY use Maryland Carpet Repair again and recommend them to others.

Great. Showed up on time (2 min early in fact). The tech was pleasant and very professional. Got to work immediately and was finished within 1.5 hours. My carpets look brand new and smell great. Also the company uses an app to remind you of the appt, let you know when the tech is on his way and when your job is marked complete in their system. I appreciated these texts.

William and Umar did an INCREDIBLE job. They were the best carpet cleaning service that I have ever hired. They removed stains that I thought would be impossible to remove. I would hire them again; however, my wife and I are relocating out of the state.

UPDATE: The first company to call me this morning, Hadeed carpet cleaners, came and inspected the carpet and pulled away a portion of the carpet back to show me black mold growing on the tack board. They told me they could not clean the carpet due to the mold and that I should have it removed. Their charge for removal of carpet and tack boards was over $1500. They also told me I would need to have our air ducts cleaned to remove mold spores and that would be an additional charge of $1500-$2000! After they left, I contacted Maryland Carpet Repair and Cleaners and the owner and his wife came over about an hour later and apologized and said they would do what they can to make everything right. They called one of their friends who came over to help with the mold removal. They pulled away carpeting at every corner of the room and a couple stairs and the only area was an area that we had water in about two years ago. He thinks what happened was that the tack board was moldy prior to them fixing the part of the carpet that was pulled away from the wall due to the water damage a couple years back and that somehow their technician reinstalled our carpet over the moldy tack board and then when he cleaned it with the water, it stirred up stuff and made it much worse. The couple and their friend pulled out all the moldy tack boards and used a spray to kill any remaining mold spores near the area and left a commercial dehumidifier and a fan and will come back on Friday to check it out (today is Monday). I hope this helps and that we can move back to our house in a few days. I will post another update soon.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Not only did they overcharge but now about a week later, my basement smells like a wet dog and there is some kind of allergen in the air that has been making us all cough even on the first and second floors of our house. Technician told me that the carpet should dry in 6-8 hours and at most 24 hours. Well, it took over 48 hours to dry even though I had a fan and a dehumidifier going the whole time. Every time we go to the basement, my husband and I both feel scratchy in our throats and start coughing. It's so bad that I have contacted servpro to come and re-clean the carpet. I'm really angry that we have to go through this. I have an infant, two toddlers and they should not be exposed to this pollution. God knows what kind of stuff they cleaned with their machine before they came over to my house. They definitely did not clean their machine prior to doing my carpet. I would never used them again nor would I recommend them to my worst enemy.

This is the second time that I utilized this vendor. I came back because I was extremely satisfied the first time. I specifically requested Gary because he had done such a great job the last time he was at my home. He did not disappoint me this time either. He was very professional and diligent in his work. He was accompanied by another team member who was also effective in getting the job done. Both men worked for hours to clean the carpets and furniture throughout my house. They arrived in time and utilized the time effectively to complete the work in a timely manner. I commend this company for great workers who seem to take pride in a job well done.

Excellent.  Got my estimate and scheduled arrival time on-line.  They were on-time and stretched all the wrinkles out of my carpet, then cleaned all three.  It took less than two hours, and the wall-to-wall rugs look like new.  There was no up-selling.  Perfect Job!

I corresponded with Umar via email. He came over to view the area, and sent me an estimate shortly after that.
William came over to do the work. Great guy, professional, courteous, and he did a great job.  I'm very satisfied with results. 
I had to ask about any special deals for Umar to refer me to a coupon on their website.

Gary arrived on time and was courteous and friendly. He worked efficiently to stretch the carpet, trim the excess, and reattach. He did the same work in our closet for no extra charge. We are very pleased with the results. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend the company and especially Gary.

Great, good service, price, punctuality

I am putting my house on the market for sale and was concerned as to the condition of the carpeting (especially the stairs) and what I could expect. All went extremely well. Umar, the owner couldn't have been better to work with. He was responsive to my questions and concerns  and was very honest and also punctual. If all businesses conducted themselves as Umar and Maryland Carpet and Repair do, things would be great. The carpets look great and I highly recommend Umar, and Maryland Carpet and Repair.

From the first phone call to the estimate and install everything went great.  Umar is very professional as was the entire crew.  No details were missed and I feel as though they went above and beyond any service I have received.  I would definitely recommend them as well as use them again in the future.
