Restoration 1 Eastern Shore covering the Beach to Bay in Air Duct Cleaning. Never before in our history is getting your air ducts cleaned so important. Mold, allergens, dust and air quality are in the forefront of our minds. Put your mind at ease knowing our IICRC technicians will get your air ducts professionally cleaned with our state of the art cleaning truck and tools. Call today

"The cleanup job they did was good. But if you would like them to quote you an amount for cleanup and then when the job is completed double that quote and bill your insurance go ahead and use them. We had a sewage spill underneath of our house and called this company to come and clean it up. We were quoted a little over $4000 to complete the job. When we got the breakdown from the insurance company of what they were paying it was double the amount of what we had been quoted. Spoke to the operations manager and owner who both did not care that this is taken place. They were just concerned with being paid for the work. You want to get caught with a bill you didn’t expect, go ahead and use them."

Standing out in front of the competition through our careful attention to detail, exceptional customer service, clear pricing structure, reliable business operations, commitment to quality, and consistent commitment to you. We are a small local family owned business with 15 years in the Heating and Air-conditioning trade.

"Very pleased. The team arrived on schedule and went right to work removing the old heat pump and air handler. They installed the new Rheem system quickly and were done before 3pm on a very, very hot day. Temperature upstairs exceeded 96 degrees and it was even hotter in the attic crawl space where the air handler was located."

Dryer Vent Cleaning questions, answered by experts

According to the National Fire Protection Association, dryers and washing machines cause over 15,000 fires a year, with dryers causing about 92 percent of those fires. Because dryer fires are more common than you might think, it’s important to clear the lint trap regularly and have annual dryer vent cleanings.

You should not put boric acid into your home’s air vents. While sprinkling boric acid in roach-prone areas is an effective way to get rid of them, it’s not safe to introduce those chemicals into your home’s air system. Instead, put boric acid or diatomaceous earth in a spot that roaches may walk through, infesting them and the rest of the infestation.

Condensation in your dryer can create a dangerous situation. It can cause lint to clog up the venting components of the system. If you have a gas-powered dryer, excessive lint buildup can create the potential for carbon dioxide buildup within your home. Clogged vent systems can also be a severe fire hazard.

Yes, mold can grow in a wet dryer vent. Mold is a type of fungi, and fungi thrive in warm, moist conditions. Dryer vents need to be aired out so heat can escape and moisture can dry. If your dryer vents aren’t properly vented, the trapped heat and moisture will cause mold to grow, and the mold can spread to the dryer and even your clothes. Not only can this leave a musty smell on your freshly laundered clothes, but—more importantly—it also poses a health risk.

A burnt rubber smell coming from your clothes after they’ve been in the dryer can be the result of too much lint in the lint trap. This prevents air from circulating properly, and the lint may even come into contact with the heating element. It could also be the result of bigger issues like a faulty thermostat or worn-out dryer belt. A burnt rubber smell can even come from elastic waistbands or rubber decals in your clothes. To remedy this, dry clothes on a lower heat setting or allow them to air dry instead.
