"Todd was extremely responsive and called to schedule an in-home estimate the moment I clicked "request a quote" on the Angie's List site. He provided an estimate for both quartz and granite. I then went to their showroom to choose the quartz I wanted (and the sink and faucet) and to schedule the measuring. The laser measuring of my kitchen was very cool. Then the installation was scheduled--counters, sink, and faucet--and it all went very smoothly--even with a run to Home Depot by the plumber for a fitting. I really like that they contract the plumber and that all the installation is done in one day, so there's no down time in teh kitchen."

"I have hesitated to write this review because the company was supposed to send someone out to do a touchup the next time they were in my area, but they never came.  Since where the touch up is needed (a corner of the tub) isn't really noticeable to me, and as more and more time went by, I just let it go. This is the reason I downgraded "responsiveness" to a B. Otherwise I would have given an A grade because the men who did the work were excellent.
My advice: Don't pay immediately after the job is finished but wait for a bill. That way if something needs to be fixed, the company will have an incentive to send someone out. Since I had already paid in full, there was no such incentive.
I was surprised at the size of the exhaust hose that is used while the tub finish is being applied. Because my bathroom is small, the hose had to go down the front hall and out the front door. Fortunately, the weather was not cold. The finish had to cure before the rest of the work could be completed. The smell wasn't pleasant, but it was tolerable.
I don't remember if it was the next day or two days later that the wall surround was put up over the existing tile, the ceiling lined, and a new drain and new fixtures installed. The installer was a different man from the one who had applied the glaze. He worked very hard, as it wasn't an easy job, due to some irregularities in the bathtub tile area. He also screwed in the grip bars that had to be removed before the wall lining could go up.
All in all I was satisfied with the work, although the caulking that was used gets moldy, and the mold is hard to remove. The wall surround and ceiling, however, do not attract mold, hallelujah.  I thought the price was right. I'm glad I had the work done.

"James did multiple jobs for me after diagnosing the actual problem. Correcting the issue required james to replace part of an old pipe which could only be accessed through a ceiling. James not only fixed the plumbing issue, he completed the carpentry work and repaired the ceiling. He also replaced my shower floor and the tiles surrounding it. "My bathroom sink was draining slowly. Two bottles of Drano didn't make much of a difference. While I had plumbers from Honest Abe's here, I asked how much it would cost to have them unclog/snake the drain. I was told that it would cost $247. I was shocked at this price and told them I would look elsewhere. I did. I purchased one of Angie's List's deals (for half the price - $125) for a small drain cleaning. Tim, the plumber, showed up on time with his female apprentice. He removed the sink trap, snaked the drain with an electric, automated snake, and replaced the trap. The sink drained great after that. The entire process took about 20 minutes.

My 1952 house was not equipped with a vent, nor proper traps for either the washing machine or sink. There were sewer gases backing up on occasion, into the sink area, which is of course unpleasant.

Robert installed the traps, then came back to add the vent to the outside of the house. He did not have to go through the attic and roof. The end result looks like it was built with the house, and blends in well with the exterior.

He responds to my need for help either instantly or within 24 hours, is professional and knows his business. Anyone he hires is up to his standards, and those are very high. Having a reliable and qualified plumber is key to survival, and for that need, I go to Robert!!
