The service was great. Highly recommended. The service showed that he cared about quality.
"Great job. Arrived on time. Made my house look brand new. Good job cleaning mildew from bricks. Mailbox post went from slightly white to bright white. Went the extra mile and washed pollen from deck and furniture. Great service. Mr. Grant was very friendly with a professional attitude about his work. Eager to please. Will definitely use again. I highly recommend."
"I knew our driveway had certainly collected dirt and even some algae over the years which is why I jumped at this AngiesList Deal. My husband took a picture after Mr. Carter had cleaned half the driveway and the difference was astounding and showed just how badly it had needed his services. He was extremely responsive when I contacted him and left a voicemail and the same with with all communication after that. We had to reschedule our first appointment due to stormy weather but he called with plenty of notice and explanation and reset the appointment right away. Our driveway now looks as good as it did after it was first poured nearly 20 years ago. Would highly recommend Tom Carter and UltraBright! "
"They did an amazing job! They were timely and very professional! I would definitely recommend them and will be hiring them again for gutter cleaning and other services this year as well."
"I have used Freestate Tree Service before, as they always do a great job. This experience was not different. I had to have a dying Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima) removed, approximately 30 feet tall. They promptly responded to my initial e-mail to have them come out and check to see if the tree was able to be saved (it wasn't, which was no surprise) and e-mailed an estimate the next day. The other two companies (one wasn't able to get someone out to look at the tree until 2 weeks from my e-mail) and the one that did stop by gave an over-the-phone quote that was significantly higher. The Freestate guys showed up bright and early to start cutting away at the tree. They always seem to do quite a lot of work in a rather short amount of time. By the afternoon the tree was gone and they were cleaning up."
"GPRO performed excellent landscaping services. They are dependable, honest and professional. Customer service and communication was consistent throughout the process. Yes, I would hire GPRO again."
The job was excellent! There are no complaints. They did a very thorough job. We did pay a little more to have extra work done. I love the product they use. They can also pressure wash the roof to keep mold and mildew off the roof. I keep their business card handy. I am going to call them again to do more work. I like that they sent a management person to oversee the job.
"Jaime was very friendly, punctual and his willingness to work with my schedule was appreciated. The service provided was beyond exceptional. I would highly recommend him and his group!!!"
Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts
The disadvantages of sandblasting are noise, mess, and risk. Sandblasters are louder than chainsaws and spread debris on the ground and through the air. Let your neighbors know that you're sandblasting so they can prepare. Sandblasting can damage your property if not done properly, so thoroughly vet any pros you talk to before hiring.
The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
Your pro will most likely bill you at an hourly rate of $50 to $80 per hour to sandblast a door due to its small size. This type of job won't take long, so if you have other surfaces that need cleaning, schedule those tasks at the same time to get your money's worth from your pro's visit.
The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.
Most projects take 1-3 days, depending on the surface area and complexity.
