"Anthony was prompt in setting up the work. He was very specific in what he was going to do, and did the work accordingly. I would use him again, and definitely would recommend Anthonyâ s Sealcoating. He was more than competitive with the other quotes I received. He came equal to or lower than all of the other quotes."

"Came to my home to evaluate the project. Called when on the way. Reasonable price. My grandson thought I had replaced the driveway, not just sealcoated it."

"Very quick response to quote request and great communication. Becky was nice to work with. We had a lot of cracks in the driveway and they sealed everything up before they did the sealcoating. They were thorough in cleaning off the driveway and edging before they started. Looks much better then my neighbor's driveway who had it done a few days prior by a different company. Only complaint was they said they would be there sometime after 10am and didn't arrive until 5pm. We didn't get an update until 3pm so we were stuck waiting around all day."

"A friend recommended Goode Paving to me. They are an excellent paving contractor to work with. they called me back promptly sent someone out to provide an estimate and did the job as discussed. they even fixed an area of the yard where the cable company tore up the grass around where the old driveway was. If you want a professional to do your driveway use Goode.

"Accurate Asphalt put my driveway in 4 years ago. I recently had a problem with a small spot on my driveway. I contacted Ace Cooper and he came out the next morning to take a look at it. He said he would fix it, no problem. The relief I felt was tremendous. I would highly recommend Accurate Asphalt for a driveway and for their follow up customer service."

"Sal knew immediately what the issue was and promptly scheduled an appointment to come look at the front porch. During the discussion I also mentioned that we had periodic leaking along the front wall of our house, which occurred only after days of heavy rains. Sal proposed that we had two issues to fix. First, he said that we needed a a membrane placed on the front porch underneath the stone in order to seal that whole area. He also found that the front porch step was too high, which is against code, and said that they would lower it during the corrective process. Second, he pointed out that the grading had settled on the front wall post-new construction and it needed to be re-graded (the periodically leaky wall). He scheduled the work a month or so later and it took a few days to complete. The stones from the front porch were removed and cleaned, and the membrane was put in place. He mentioned that he found two holes under the porch where water was leaking. After the porch was sealed, the stones were reassembled and the the grouting was redone and was much improved over the original construction. Second, the plants were cut down in the area that need to be regraded (we knew this would have to be done) and additional dirt was well packed along the edge of the wall creating a nice grade away from the house. We replanted this fall. Another piece of advice they offered but said we could do ourselves if we preferred, was to add dirt along a couple of walls around the house that had settled over time. There were no leaks associated with that settling but we could clearly see that it needed to be done. So we completed that job. We completed that job ourselves. DiFatta's work was very good and our leaks are now fixed! We did a little more sealing on the threshold of the door to make it completely watertight. This is the FIRST time since we built the house that the front porch hasn't leaked! They were reliable, honest and completed the job on time. There were minimal hassles and Sal worked hard to communicate every step of the way. We would definitely use them again."

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

When asphalt cures, it typically changes from a very dark black hue to a lighter, more matte gray color. Cured asphalt also won’t be tacky or sticky to the touch or emit any odors from the asphalt mix. Additionally, the surface of fully cured asphalt won’t deform under any pressure.

New asphalt goes through two stages: drying and curing. Drying typically takes 24 to 72 hours, after which the surface is solid enough for light use like walking or careful driving. While you may be able to park on it after 72 hours, the surface is still soft and should be treated gently. Full curing is a much longer process, taking anywhere from 30 days to a full year for the asphalt to reach maximum strength. During this extended curing period, the asphalt is susceptible to damage from heavy vehicles, sharp objects, and high temperatures. Factors like weather, the specific asphalt mix, and application thickness all influence drying and curing times. For the most accurate timeline and to ensure the longevity of your new asphalt, it is always best to consult with your installation contractor for their specific recommendations.

Depending on the product used, you should avoid using your driveway for 48 to 72 hours after sealing it. In general, water-based driveway sealers cure much faster compared to oil-based and solvent-based sealers. Some driveways are even ready in just four to five hours.

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.

To maintain their strength, asphalt driveways and parking lots need to be sealcoated once every two to five years. You may also need to reapply paint striping every few years as it fades to ensure drivers can safely navigate the parking lot.
