"Great! Kyle and his team were great-- professional, punctual, friendly. Respectful. Even when my street was closed because BGE contractors were working on gas lines, Kyle kept the appointment. He listened and understood what was needed. Showed up early and did the job in good time."

"I love Milton!! He's done work for me now for many years. Everything from my usual lawn maintenance in the summer to building a fence, hauling junk, replacing my kitchen floor, painting, drywall, installing gutter guards, etc! If you're not happy with anything Milton always offers to fine tune things until you are (I never have to ask him for adjustments but he always offers!). He's always on time, extremely professional, tidy, affordable, and just plain fun to talk to! The most important thing too is if he feels like what you need done is out of his wheelhouse he'll be honest and let you know, but not much is! Wouldn't go to anyone else, him and his team are always my first call."

Dirt Hauling questions, answered by experts

The average cost of junk removal is around $250, but prices for this work range from $60 for small projects to $600 or more for large projects. Some companies charge per hour of work, but most will inspect your home and then give you a flat fee for the entire project. Garbage removal labor varies from project to project, so the best way to get an accurate estimate for your service is to contact a reputable garbage removal company in your area and hire them to inspect the junk that you plan to remove.

Yes, most services include removing old surrounds or preparing the tub surface before installing the new liner.

Disposing of old paint, bleach, oil, and fertilizer should be handled by a company that specializes in this kind of waste. Many private junk removal companies do not dispose of these items. Because these materials are hazardous to the environment and dangerous to handle or dispose of improperly, you should confirm with your local municipality about places to take hazardous materials for safe disposal.

One of the best ways to reduce packaging waste is to purchase materials that are made using recycled materials. While these don’t eliminate waste, they do help provide uses for old packaging materials and prevent the need to collect more raw ingredients for continued manufacturing. Recycling those same products helps complete the cycle and reduces the need for new materials in the supply chain. You can also upcycle some packing materials, like cardboard and plastic, for use in crafts and organizational tools.

Untreated lumber can be easily reused, recycled, or composted, depending on your needs and plans for future projects. If you’d rather get the excess wood off of your property, you can donate it to a lumber yard or reach out to neighbors and friends to see if they could use it.
