"From the beginning it was a marvelous experience.  Tiffany and Cindy in the front office had a uncanny ability to steer us to the granite selections that suited us best.  After three visits to their showroom, we found the perfect piece of granite.  Cindy suggested we go to a bigger under the counter sink.  We did and we are glad we followed her advice. We elected to have their plumber install the sink, disposal and dishwasher.  The measurements went well.  Brian and Oscar showed up at 11 a.m. and worked hard until 5:30 p.m.  Oscar asked to see our faucet that we had purchased and said it was the wrong style for a granite counter top.  So we heeded his advice and went right out and purchased a single level faucet.  He was so right, it looked great and we thank Oscar for his advice.  Brian was a hard worker and good at his craft.  We were glad we had Eric the plumber come in to make the connections.  When he left, the sink was good to go.  If we had hired an outside plumber there would be a delay in using our sink.  You can't go wrong if you go with this company.  They know their craft and we have recommended them to many of our friends.

"The individuals from Baltimore's Best Tub Refinishing did some excellent short notice repairs on my master bath tub.  I noticed about a month ago that the tub was leaking down into our half bathroom, a floor below and within a week Bruce was able to set up a date with me to have a template made for the inlay, and have it installed two weeks later.  Since the crack wasn't where the inlay would be installed, the team also conducted a repair to the leak/crack area, and used foam to add increased support to the weak spot the crack occurred in.  Bruce contacted me himself to walk me through the process prior, and even sent a video of what the inlay would look like.  The install and repair only took a few hours and upon completion, the team gave direction on how to properly care for the new inlay and repair.
Thank you again for the great work!

"We had a leak in our dining room ceiling because of a leak in our kid's bathroom above. We received many quotes to repair and replace, or remodel, the entire bathroom. The quotes ranged in price from $7000 to $20,000 and everywhere in between. And materials for the tub, walls and floor varied even more. Bath Doctor was not only the least expensive, they were the most responsive, really listening to and addressing our concerns. They also took the least amount of time to do the job--just 3 days and provided the longest lasting warranties on their work--lifetime on the materials which were all waterproof and low maintenance. It's been almost three months since they completed the work and we haven't had any leakage or any other problems since they fixed it. They definitely deserve a 5-Star rating and we will certainly use them again to fix our master bathroom."

"Company understood exactly what was needed and confirmed service by asking me to send pictures of the project. Professional arrived promptly with all materials and equipment needed. Bathroom worked on was well protected so that any dust did not reach other areas of the house. Work began on time and continued throughout the day with only stopping for very short lunch. Periodically areas completed were shown to client to confirm work being done was on target. Room was left swept clean. Marble vanity perfect shine, like new. Client very pleased. Greg and company wonderful to work with, they understand granite and marble."

"George's Painting painted the entire interior of our 4 BR, 3-story house, partially remodeled our master bath and did some repair work, all in one week. There were up to 6 workers in our house at any given time. It was a large job, and both George Sr. and George Jr. were very responsive and professional. We stayed in the house during the job and workers were considerate and courteous.  Price was very fair and we were amazed at the speed with which they worked. Either George Sr or George Jr checked in on the job every day, and both were very responsive when we needed to contact them. There are always problems with this large a job, and these were dealt with quickly and proficiently, even after the job was finished. We would definitely use them again.

"My refaced kitchen cabinets are absolutely AWESOME!! The services provided by Capital Cabinet Refacing was indeed top notch and highly professional. In my view Capital Cabinet Refacing deserves a 10 star rating. The quality of the craftsmanship was impeccable and exceedingly superb. The pricing resulted in a significant value for me. The owner Keith was responsive, customer focused and did a great job with respect to the design and coordination of services. Installation Manager Javier Solorzano, along with his colleague Bayron Diaz, performed a flawless installation. Javier and Bayron displayed a level of professional expertise that was truly exceptional. Javier is the best. I highly recommend doing business with Capital Cabinet Refacing. I will certainly recommend them to my friends, associates and family members."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

It is advisable to have stone countertops inspected every few years, especially if damage is noticed. Regular maintenance and inspection help catch and resolve issues early, extending the countertops' lifespan.

Since marble is a porous material, it is more prone to water spots than other countertop options. Fortunately, pure water doesn’t damage your marble, but if the water is acidic, it can cause stains or water spots. Resealing throughout the year can help increase marble’s water resistance, too.

No, you cannot use vinegar to polish marble. It is too acidic for cleaning or polishing and can etch the surface. Instead, opt for non-acidic cleaners made specifically for marble. Follow the manufacturer’s directions to ensure proper application and to protect the marble. However, a damp mop can be an effective marble cleaner when used appropriately and as long as moisture is immediately soaked up.

To remove cloudiness from marble, use equal parts baking soda and water to form a paste. Apply it to the surface, allow it to sit for at least two hours, then wipe with a microfiber cloth. Another option is adding a couple of dish soap drops to warm water and wiping the surface after you’ve applied it to the surface. You may also consider using a liquid stone cleaner.

Marble countertops don’t necessarily crack easily. However, they are more susceptible to damage than some other types of countertops. For example, they can develop etching from acidic liquids, such as lemon or tomato juice. Marble can also chip at the edges if you drop a heavy pan. A faux marble countertop isn’t as delicate as the real deal (depending on the material you’re painting over), but it can still get scratched if you’re not careful. Use hot pads and cutting boards to protect the countertop.
