"Emerson Paints: All Sales, No Service If you’re considering Emerson Paints, let me save you the trouble: don’t. I responded to one of their Instagram ads and was immediately bombarded with phone calls—relentlessly. Once I was ready, I called back and scheduled a free estimate. The sales rep they sent was personable, knowledgeable, and assured me he’d been with the company for ten years. That part actually felt promising. He gave us three tiers of service, and my husband and I chose the middle option. I even went to the paint store the next morning to pick out my color. I texted him with my selection and… crickets. Days passed. I followed up. He apologized and promised to get back to me. He didn’t. Eventually, I called the office directly, only to find out we weren’t even on the schedule. That’s when the owner stepped in—sounding every bit the overpromising, fast-talking salesman you hope never to deal with. He assured me we’d be fit in the following week and that he was “putting his very best guy on it.” Then the day arrived… and a truck pulled up with a completely different company name and logo on it. Turns out, Emerson subcontracted the work without telling me. Not even a mention. Total bait and switch. To make matters worse, the sales rep had promised I wouldn’t have to prep anything in my kitchen. But when I asked the owner, I was suddenly responsible for clearing countertops and emptying the front of all my cabinets. My kitchen was a disaster zone for a week—all based on bad information. Then came the most unbelievable part: on day two of the project, an Emerson employee came to "check on things"—and let himself into my home. No knock. No doorbell. No hello. Just strolled right in like it was his place. I was stunned. The one saving grace? The subcontracted crew was excellent. They were professional, efficient, and lovely to work with. I would’ve happily hired them directly—for a likely much lower price—if Emerson hadn’t been the middleman. (Message me if you want their name; they were fantastic.) Emerson Paints, on the other hand? Not a single follow-up. No call to see how the job went. Nothing. Their last contact with me was their guy walking uninvited into my house. Bottom line: Emerson Paints is overpriced, unreliable, and dishonest. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone."

"Alpha & Omega Cotractors.has done several jobs for us, one after another when we discovered what great quality of work this company does. We have a 135 yo historical house with lot of irregular, crooked angles on walls, ceilings and floors. The plastering of the ceilings in several rooms needed repair. Fabian installed thin layer of drywall on the ceilings so that we do not need to worry about cracks in near future. This was not an easy job as we had bookcases from floor to ceiling and the drywall plates needed to be modified in several little nooks. After the ceilings and walls in the first two rooms were completed, we decided to continue with further rooms since we had found a reliable team. The price was also very competitive!! The results were great. The color of the walls was perfectly matched. Everything was kept neat and clean. The team even mopped the stairwells so that one could not even guess there had been major work with sanding and painting. At the end one young team member created a little problem. Fabian and his son came over on Sunday and personally corrected the problem. This was superb service excellence! I hope the readers read my review of another, which previously did the same jobs in other two rooms of our house with disastrous results to our historical house. After that the supervisor of that company behaved extremely arrogantly. It was a very different experience with Alpha and Omega. It is clear that accidents may happen, but it makes a huge difference what the response is. Fabian has been extremely professional and helpful. I cannot recommend him highly enough. My other, previous review was about another company, a big one with good ratings. The problems with that company were due to the fact that that a big company subcontracts all kinds of teams - even disastrous ones as in our case (I have photos in my review of paint splashes and terrible scratches on our antique floor and furniture). That is the difference to Alpha & Omega: Fabian is the owner of his company and yet he is present and hands- on when the work is being done. He takes great responsibility of getting perfect results. He is always upbeat and communicates extremely well We have now lined up more work for Fabian. His team actually already installed new flooring in one room on short notice, so that we did not need to move furniture back and forth between painting and floor work. They also painted the ceiling of our very big wraparound porch. Now we have requested his expertise with more outside painting job. You won't go wrong when selecting Alpha and Omega! You get the responsible owner to take charge and do not need to be let down with horrible subcontractors."
