Hired them to do a BGE home energy audit, and Larry Tennant performed this for the company. This included an inspection of the attic insulation which resulted in a lot of ceiling drywall essentially coming off the joists, multiple nails popping through the paint. I was really unhappy with this new problem, since what was supposed to be a $100 energy audit now led to damage that would cost several hundred dollars to repair. From Larry's point of view, the ceiling drywall likely had pre-existing problems making it vulnerable to damage from the inspection, something he had no way of knowing. After a lot of discussion, Larry contributed $500 toward the costs of fixing the ceiling, a reasonable compromise for both parties since the drywall already appeared to have pre-existing issues. Through the experience, he was professional, responsive, and was 100% committed to finding a mutually agreeable solution months after the audit was completed. Even though I would have rather never gone through the experience, I have the highest level of respect for Larry's integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. I would gladly hire him again if we needed his services again.

The installers did a great job. They were prompt and pleasant. They did a great job of cleaning up after the work was done. It must have been 120 degrees in the attic when they did the work! I would highly recommend this company.

Larry & his son, Mike, arrived on time to both of our appointments. Larry was responsive via email throughout the process of setting up appointments. The insulation & air sealing project done after my energy audit went smoothly and I think was reasonably priced (I'll know more about the value this winter when I can really assess the degree of improvement in heat retention in my room over the garage, but I'm optimistic). The crew cleaned up spotlessly and emailed me before & after pics (which was important as I couldn't see the work that was done). Most importantly, they were kind and courteous to me and treated my project with attentiveness even though it might have been on the smaller side. Very hard working businessmen who care about doing good work.

Mike and Ron came and performed the work on our house yesterday. They were prompt and delivered on what the had committed to on the revised quote. They also asked that we call back and let them know if there are any issues or if we are not seeing a noticeable difference in the temperatures. This is an excellent company to work with and we could not be happier - would recommend them anytime!!

Mike & Larry were great to work with. They communicated clearly, both in person and via email. Formal estimates were provided and revised as needed. They showed up on time and worked diligently. All the work was completed as quoted. BGE conducted a follow-up inspection to confirm that the energy work (only) was completed correctly. Not only did HPH do good work, but they also made a concerted effort to leave the worksite as clean or cleaner than when they arrived.

Everything was done well and in a timely and professional manner. I was out of town when the repairs were done, and they still completed work well and on time.

High Performance Home was able to replace our roof very quickly and for a great price! Larry and Mike, the father-son duo running the company talked us through everything we needed to know about getting a new roof and explained every step they will take to complete the job. After multiple conversations with them to decide on what products we want and when we wanted the work performed, they completely removed the old roof, taking it down to the roof trusses, and then replaced the sheathing, felt paper, flashing and drip edges, and finished it off with upgraded shingles, gutters, and downspouts. Everything turned out better than we expected and we are super thrilled with our worry-free roof.

I did not hire them. They gave me an initial estimate, but when I questioned them about changes, they did not respond.

the work went very well. the job look good. my house was warm this winter. I had heat up to 78 after high performance home put window in and siding I lower the heat to 72. my bge bill was less.

Our first appointment for the work had to be rescheduled due to a conflict but on the second date all went well. They showed up exactly on time and did the work. They explained again what they were doing and even pointed out some additional draft points in the garage. Very professional plus I like the idea that this is a family operated business.

Very smooth! Larry was great! I got the impression that he and his team are confident and experienced on work such as this and the end result has been a much more comfortable home! DETAILS: Larry ID'd not only the temperature-control problems with the house but also made sure to learn how I actually use the house. That meant a great deal! The team did accidentally take out a light bulb in the basement but they immediately informed me, apologized and cleaned up the glass. I mention that incident as an excellent example of their professionalism! Much appreciated! PRICE: Great price all around! Half of the cost is expected back in a rebate from BGE. This is much more meaningful when I consider that it cost me nearly as much from another company a year ago just to blow-in insulation above the 2nd floor attic! Great work for great value and, yes, I'd use their services again!

Mike and his crew did a terrific job. They were on time, professional and respectful of my property. They were very professional throughout. Clean and tidy; even with all the digging etc. All this under difficult weather circumstances; with snow and cold temperatures. Basement is dry again!

I really can't say enough good things about Larry, Mike and their team! The execution of the work that was done was absolutely fantastic! The team arrived on time, kept me informed about what they were doing, kept the work area clean, and when they completed the job it was like they had not even been in my home. The attic was sealed and insulation was blown in. The exhaust fans from the bathroom were properly ventilated out of the attic, and the basement was sealed and insulated. The paperwork to receive the BGE rebate was all handled and I was copied with the proper documentation to follow up if need be. Overall they did a great job and answered any and all the questions that I asked them. Larry did the initial energy audit and was very professional, personable, and courteous. He was able to answer all my questions and explained the BGE energy rebate program. Larry identified all the areas in my home where there was either air leakage or thermal leakage and made recommendations about what repairs would be most cost effective and which would not. I accepted his recommendations and he then prepared my personalized report. Even though I did not qualify for any BGE rebates, I decided to proceed with the repairs Larry recommended which were then carried out by his son, Mike, and Mike's crew. Mike was also very professional, personable, and courteous and, as did his father Larry, was able to answer my many questions. Mike's crew took great care to protect my home and furnishings and minimize any dust coming into my living space from the work they were doing in the attic. The crew sealed every recessed light fixture and electrical outlet that was accessible from the attic. They also restored the proper insulation configuration to my sprinkler system to ensure the pipes would not freeze during the winter. Mike took before and after photos in my attic so I could see the nature of their actual work without going up into the attic myself. I am very, very pleased with the work done by this company and highly recommend them to others. I will not need this work done again in my current home but, should I ever move and find a similar need in a future house, I will not hesitate to call High Performance Home.

The 2nd floor of our house is a lot hotter in the summer and a lot colder in the winter than the rest of the house. There was minimal insulation in the attic. Called High Performance Home LCC and they did an energy audit for $100. Within a week an energy audit report and estimates for work to improve my home's energy efficiency were sent to me. Picked the work out of the estimate that I wanted done and that I best thought would address our uncomfortable 2nd floor (attic sealing and insulation). Besides the lack of insulation in the attic there were lots of places to seal up between the attic and 2nd floor. Within a week of accepting the estimate the work was done. Very easy to work with Larry on the audit and estimate. His son and helper did a great job on the work. Larry filled out the paper work with BG&E the next day for the $1500 rebate (50% of the project cost). It has only been a few days (but they were hot ones) and we notice a big difference in the upstairs. It is still warmer than the rest of the house as expected, but a lot more comfortable and closer in temperature to the rest of the house. Very happy with the project and results so far.
