"After several days of rain in Oxon Hill, MD and overgrown grass, my mowed lawn looks great. The fee quoted for regular lawn mowing was fair. I will use again. Thank you!"

"Fernando evaluated a stone facade on my Colonial Beach, VA townhouse that had come loose due to poor builder construction. He matched the stone perfectly and repaired the original work to like new condition. He was responsive, timely, cost-competitive, and most importantly did grade A work. Would definitely hire for any future projects!"

"I was very impressed by their company. They were several days out in scheduling but the project manager went the same day to get the materials and came back the following day with his mason to finish it up. They explained exactly what they were doing and provided me with a warranty and 24 hour service. The area around the baywindow is where my sons play area is. They made sure everything was properly covered and were pleasant to work which hasn't been my experience with other contractors in the past. I recommended them to my parents as they were looking to get their kitchen floors redone and they a binder of work they have done and services they offer. After going to several bigger contractors in the area my parents decided to go with them. They love how the work is going and their customer service."

Outdoor Kitchens questions, answered by experts

Silestone® isn’t recommended for outdoor use because UV rays can damage the surface. Long-term exposure to direct sunlight can cause discoloration. Instead, choose an outdoor-friendly countertop material like tile, concrete, stainless steel, or natural stone. If you do choose a natural stone, make sure you either seal it or avoid highly porous stones. For example, choose soapstone over marble.

There are several ways to save money and keep costs down when building an outdoor kitchen. Building on an existing patio can reduce the cost of a new foundation, especially if it's close to the house. You can also save on utility line installation by opting out of a sink and using a built-in propane or charcoal grill. If you have the skills, tackling parts of the project yourself—like building or finishing cabinets, installing fixtures, and constructing seating—can lead to significant savings. Reusing appliances you already have is another great way to cut costs. Finally, consider starting small with just the essential components and adding more features over time as your budget allows.

The best types of wood for outdoor kitchen cabinets are those naturally resistant to weather, water, heat, fading, and mold or mildew. Excellent choices include teak, mahogany, white oak, and Brazilian walnut. It's best to avoid softwoods like pine and cedar, as they are more susceptible to damage and can catch fire easily. For extra protection, ensure the wood is pressure-treated. Regardless of the wood you choose, you will need to apply sealants, oils, and stains regularly to protect your cabinets from the elements.

You can choose a few different options for outdoor kitchen sink drainage. You can install a dry well about 10 feet away from your home or patio or install a French drain closer by. You can also drain into your home’s plumbing system, but it is more costly versus using a dry well.

Summer kitchens can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $50,000 to build. The average price is on the lower end of that range, however, at $15,500. The typical homeowner is more likely to pay between $6,000 and $25,000 than approach the $50,000 mark. Materials for framework, flooring, and countertops are the most expensive type of expenditure, with appliances coming in second. There are a few additional costs that may not immediately come to mind when planning an outdoor kitchen, some of which include: permits, routine maintenance, pest control, and winterization.
