"Company was hired to prepare and excavate a pad site for a pole barn garage. The guy "Wilson" knows what he is doing however he short changed me on the services that we agreed to. In addition, he under estimated materials needed to complete the work as well as while excavating the area, my sprinkler system was damaged. I had to advise him to come back and complete compaction of fill dirt. After compaction you were able to see that the site was clearly not leveled. I had to bring in more fill dirt to accommodate for this. I paid him anyway because his effort was good, but after payment he never followed up with me. It's like once he was paid then you never hear from him!"

"I hired Superior earthworks on a recommendation from a previous customer that had concrete work done. He was recommended for his timely work and work ethic, I had a driveway that needed to be completely resurfaced and Bobby came in with some ideas that added a beachy effect, my driveway now looks like it’s part of the beach! I absolutely love it, thank you so much!"

"Naturally, on the hottest weekend of the summer in 2019, with a houseful of guests for that weekend, the capacitor went. Normally, I'd order the part and fix it myself, but that would have taken days to acquire. Air Temp showed up first thing in the morning the following day, and quickly verified the broken part and replaced it. Sure, of course it was more than doing it myself--but that's not the point. They were timely, had the part in hand, and were extremely reasonable on the price. We use them for our annual AC and heater checkups as well and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend the team."

"Except for the time it took to start job ( about 6 weeks) I love the outcome. Once it got started it was obvious this company took proud in their work. The team of Mitch & Alex are two individual that really know what they were hired for. Professional in their approach and it showed with outcome. Mitch would keep going over the walls structor to inshore it's appear and it looks great.Item I feel is important to consumers was the clear-up. The area surrounding the project was made to look 10 times better then when they began.I would definitely hire this company for future jobs."

"2 gentlemen came to my house and were very polite and friendly.  They worked for 4.5 hours and never stopped.  They came to my door at every hour to let me know another hour had gone by and if I wanted them to continue.  I really appreciated that.  "

"The work done is wonderful, we had this put in last year and we've had no problems at all. We had a big storm here last week and everything was fine. It took us a while to find someone we trust, but we trusted Richard Legnaioli. Richard is just a wonderful person and is very pleasant to talk to. I personally would give him an A rating."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Skunk digging looks like a series of small, cone-shaped holes on a lawn or around the perimeter of a home, porch, deck, or shed. The holes that skunks dig when searching for grubs tend to be no more than four inches in diameter and may be up to four inches deep.

Trenching is a specific kind of digging. Trenching means digging a depression in the earth that’s deeper than it is wide, often with heavy machinery. Digging refers to any kind of removal of earth in order to create a human-made depression, hole, or cut in the earth’s surface. You can dig with big tools or even with just a hand shovel.

No, fire blight does not survive free in the soil but instead is carried through insects, animals, rain, or wind during the spring. Keep in mind that it can also spread on tools, which is why you should always disinfect them in between cuts.

You should dig 3 to 6 inches deep for plastic edging. Dig as wide as you need to fit your plastic edging into it—2 inches is usually sufficient.

A trench that is less than 5 feet deep often doesn't require a protective system. Most residential trenches will not go this deep (the typical residential drainage trench is just 18 inches deep). In the event that an excavator needs to dig more than 5 feet beneath the surface, a protective system is required unless the excavation is in entirely stable rock.
