"The Raven Termite and Pest Control team from Baltimore were outstanding. I called to schedule an appointment for inspection on Wednesday, the inspection occurred the next day on Thursday and the installation of the bird control hardware occurred on Tuesday. Carl and Kris were very professional, extremely competent and friendly. 5 stars Strongly recommend."

Customers say: Quick response

"Josh is amazing. I called DMV wildlife for bird removal from my bathroom vents. Josh came cleaned and sanitized the bathroom vents inside and out. He also installed a basket to make sure they canâ t get back in! He also recommended a basket for our dryer vent so they wouldnâ t go from one vent entrance to another. Josh went over and beyond and cleaned the dryer vent. DMV wildlife is HIGHLY recommended! Thanks again Josh!"

"Two very nice men came and carefully and thoroughly cleaned the flue. They use a vacuum concurrently with the sweeping so as to minimize the ash and dust, and it works. They were careful not to track in dirt and such from outside and were very pleasant."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

It's advisable to avoid using harmful methods to eliminate birds. Poisoning birds is inhumane and can have unintended ecological consequences, affecting other wildlife and pets. Similarly, using firearms or other lethal means poses safety risks and could be illegal in many areas. Sticky substances like adhesives can cause birds to become trapped and injured. Lastly, playing excessively loud or distressing noises can stress birds and humans. Focusing on humane and environmentally responsible strategies is essential when dealing with bird issues.

The brown recluse has numerous predators in the wild (or close to your home). They are a valuable part of the ecosystem, too. Their predators often include birds, praying mantis, crickets, chickens, spider wasps, and more. However, the brown recluse spider is a master at hiding, making it much more difficult for predators to hunt them.

Some animals, such as bats or birds, will be able to get out of chimneys on their own since they can fly. Other animals, however, may have a harder time and will require the help of a professional to escape. Squirrels and raccoons in particular may become stuck inside a chimney, especially if you have a buildup of soot or creosote inside. This can prevent them from being able to climb out, in which case you’ll need to call an animal control expert to help remove them.

Woodpeckers usually feed on homes when there is a food source present, and termites are one possible source. However, the presence of woodpeckers doesn’t necessarily mean there are termites. They may also be feeding on more harmless insects like ants or spiders. If woodpeckers seem drawn to one particular part of your home’s siding, it might be worth hiring a termite inspector to check for the presence of these pesky critters.

Small amounts of geese are actually good for the environment. They help spread seeds and lead to more plant growth, but they’re often an invasive species, particularly Canadian geese. This means a small gaggle can quickly grow into a level that litters your lawn with bald patches and excrement.
