Dennyâ  s likes to understand what I wanted as a client and gave options and opinions. His successful past works speak for him. I was happy with the work this team did on my deck overall, framing and boarding. The issue I have is with Staining. I purchased the oil stain and he applied it, however it rained within 2 hours pretty much the whole afternoon and night (July 29, 2021), and that cannot be good for the stain and deck I would imagine. I would have expected DC to be responsible, check the rain forecast and advice me to hold off on the staining until a good 3 day shine or weeks later when the weather is a bit more predictable. The way he decided to stain it knowing the clouds are glooming was not professional in my mind, and he shouldn't have rushed into just to complete a project. I'm fine with deferring an incomplete step in the project if he had advised me. I have contacted DC so he can propose what to do about this (re-sand it and re-stain it ideally), still waiting his response, if not, I will contact Angi for mediating."

"Today the Quality Preferred Painting crew finished another job on our house. This is the 4th time we've hired them. They repainted our finished basement ceiling after we had a mold issue fixed, then sealed and repainted the inside of an exterior-facing concrete wall that had some paint damage from moisture transfer, re-painted our front door, and then prepped and re-painted the exterior trim of our house around where we had a huge bay window installed. As always they did a terrific job, were always on time (early, actually) and meticulous in detail. Hire Steve and his crew -- they will do a fantastic job for you."

I gave him a 4.5 for the quality because there was a small section where you can see the wall needed to be sanded down more. Other than that his professionalism and service was above and beyond. "Very well. At first I thought all I needed was to have the individual peeling shingles re-painted but Sean showed me that the previous painters hadn't primed or used the proper paint. So we came to an agreement on a very fair price, and he totally stripped, primed and stained the side of my house, the trim, plus the side deck and deck steps. He even filled a hole a woodpecker made in the trim and replaced a rotted section of trim before painting it. He was prompt, thorough and EXTREMELY neat with his work. He and his helper cleaned up their area so thoroughly you'd never know they had been there. Sean was very reliable and I would highly recommend him.
