The most common signs of a flea infestation include itching and irritation in your pets or you, as well as dark spots on your pet’s fur, often called “flea dirt,” which refers to flea feces. The presence of flea bites on you or your pet is also a sign of a possible infestation.

Bed bugs are most active when we are most inactive, typically from 2 a.m. until 5 a.m. They are cunning, and adjust their schedules according to their victims. If you work at night, for instance, your bed bugs will flip the script.

You should not spray pesticides of any kind into your air vents. The spray won’t reach far into the vent, minimizing its effectiveness in killing roaches, but more importantly, it’s dangerous for people and pets to inhale these chemicals. Gophers are ubiquitous in certain areas, and the only way to completely get rid of them is to put down gopher wire two feet below the surface of your soil and vertically along the edges of your yard. When baiting traps for iguanas, avoid using herbs, fruits, and vegetables that are toxic to them, such as fresh sage, rosemary, avocados, and eggplants. While fresh, ripe fruit is effective at attracting iguanas, be cautious of pits and seeds from fruits like apples, pears, and peaches, as they are highly toxic. Additionally, steer clear of citrus fruits, a natural deterrent to iguanas.
