"Craig was very friendly and knowledgable today when I called him about his services. While he cannot do the service of removing squirrels in my basement and chimney, he was very helpful to provide advice on how I might be able to do it myself and save money. He gave me tips on trapping it and also offered to recommend someone that might be able to help me if I am not able to get the squirrel out myself. in addition, he also offered tips on how I might rid my basement of spiders. I will definitely give him a call again if I am in need of his pest control solutions in the future."

"Casey was awesome. Contacted Casey because we thought we had squirrels in the attic. Casey contacted us the same day and came out to do inspection the next day (Sunday). He went into the attic and even took pictures for us so we could see the problem. He's extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend Casey for any animal wildlife encounter we have in the future."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

The full process of using a rat exterminator can take several weeks. If you have a larger infestation, the exterminator may need to return several times to collect rats. The timeline of your rat eradication depends on the infestation size and type of treatment, so consult a rat exterminator to get an accurate estimate for your specific issue.

The last thing you want is to fend off a swarm while on top of a fully-extended ladder. Additionally, be extremely careful when using a ladder, as falling from a tall height can result in serious injury.

Leaving things to a pest control service in your area could be the best course of action if the nest is in an enclosed or difficult-to-reach space. If your spray doesn’t hit the right spot, is too far away, or isn’t powerful enough, you risk aggravating rather than killing all the wasps.

You should never block both the top and bottom of your chimney. Proper airflow is essential because the temperature inside the chimney will still fluctuate as your house warms and cools. Moisture can build up without ventilation, leading to dampness in your walls over time. Blocking the top prevents debris and animals from entering, but the chimney still needs air circulation to avoid condensation issues. Allowing the chimney to breathe maintains the health of your home and prevents long-term damage.

You can use commercial repellents to help deter rodents, but they often have mixed results. A better solution is preventing rodents from getting under your home in the first place. Using steel wool or foam sealer, plug all potential entry points like gaps and cracks in the foundation.

Also, consider installing hardware cloth or wire mesh over vents, utility openings, and any openings under the porch or foundation. Regular inspections and maintenance will aid in early detection and prevention, ensuring a rodent-free environment beneath your house.

Maintaining a clean environment can deter spiders to a certain extent by removing clutter and reducing the number of insects they prey on. Spiders tend to favor secluded spots to spin their webs and hunt for prey, and regular cleaning practices such as dusting, vacuuming, and decluttering can disrupt these ideal conditions. Despite these preventive measures, some spider species are highly adaptable and may still infiltrate your home despite your best efforts to maintain a tidy living space.
