"Eddie and his crew (Josh, Juilio, Steve, John.....) replaced our entire driveway. The driveway was over 40 years old and had a significant drainage issue. Eddie reviewed the driveway, very competitively priced the replacement and recommended a drainage fix that corrected a very difficult driveway design. Eddie was on site for the entire replacement, the removal of the old blacktop, undesirable sub base and some areas that needed sawcutting. Then his crew compacted the new base with an excellent crushed stone base, installed the new drainage 1,000 gallon precast concrete drywell with drainage pipe and expanded some areas of the existing driveway. Then the final install of the asphalt was liking watching an orchestra perform. The crew was amazing under Eddie's guidance, the attention to detail to each area of the driveway install was so satisfying to watch. The weather during the install was not perfect, but Eddie and his crew were never distracted to doing a perfect driveway install. I am a very satisfied customer with Eddie's communication from the quoting process to his communication for the after care of driveway. "Masonworks recently took my small city patio from a mess of tree roots and uneven bricks to a smooth, sleek bluestone with a low fieldstone raised planting bed. Tony identified the really rough areas & cut them out & prepared those areas for new asphalt…and then paved over the entire driveway with new asphalt. The crew did an amazing job! I also had them install a 5 footI apron at the end of my driveway. It is red brick framed with salt & pepper granite blocks. Again, the crew did a fantastic job on the apron. "I contacted John's and received a quote via email from Toni, and felt the price was reasonable. While they have a year-round maintenance package (which would translate to a discount), I opted for a la carte services. They came out and raked out the shrub beds, dethatched the lawn, and picked up most of the bits of trash that were around the yard. Unfortunately, the de-thatching machine tore up some of the grass, down to the soil (it was admittedly thin coverage), and they missed some bits of trash (plastic grocery bags hanging in the shrubs), but overall it was well done. They sent a rep out to look at the mulching job to be done, and the job was done fine. There were some spots where there were weeds poking out through the mulch, but, overall, pretty good. I hired them to do weekly lawn mowing, and they've been out twice, and the grass looks good, though I do wish that they'd grab the bits of trash that accumulate in the yard. All-in-all, a solid lawn care company, and I'm happy to have them. The approximate cost of service above reflects the spring cleanup and mulch; the lawn mowing is done weekly for $45.
