"Called Stephen 6/13/11 to ask for him to give me an estimate of project. He called back later that day. Asked when I would like him to come out. He said he was flexible and I scheduled a time for the next day --at my convenience! The next day he shows up right on time and is professional and amiable. He was knowledgeable and asked great questions. He raised some good concerns about how our land may be protected under the wetlands protection act. Because there may be an issue of wetlands, I need to contact the town before proceeding with the project. He did say he could definitely do the project if it we were allowed to.On his way out, he took away some old wood boards and pipes lying around the back yard at no cost. He is amazing! What a great guy. I wish we had substantial things to remove, so we could work more with such a great, honest, professional guy. I wish all the people we work with on our house were like him! "Bill and his crew had been digging up the road a few feet from my front door for a couple of weeks in order to replace my neighbor's septic system with city sewerage. Knowing of Malden's lead-copper regulations, he offered to replace my lead water line while he was working in this area. In spite of the incorrect piping plans supplied by the city's Engineering Department, Bill was able to locate the shut-off for my service (which was buried under several layers of asphalt), do the excavation, and replace my lead pipe with copper. I hired him without getting a second estimate because I was impressed by the work he was doing for my neighbor, because a different neighbor told me his price sounded reasonable, and because the staff at the Engineering Department said that he was a "good guy" and in fact did some work for the city. I gave him a "B" rating on Price because he never mentioned/offered his 10% Senior Discount to this 75-year old lady."

John can our saw my yard and my dog and suggested that sod was not best and that we could get a good result with hydro seeding. We now have a lush green lawn and I believe it is more likely to stay that way as it was home grown. How great to find someone who did not try to do the most expensive restoration but the most appropriate for our yard. He also took us to the nursery to find some new shrubs and installed these as well. We will be using his service for lawn care going forward."
