"We were really happy to have found Leo and his crew and to have hired them for our landscaping project! Leo was really responsive and evaluated the project within 24 hours. He had great advice to offer and really understood what we were after. Leo and his crew showed up a few days later and completed the project in a day—the result was great! The work was meticulous, with great attention to detail. They also managed to save plants that I thought would need to go. Finally they took great care to clean the driveway up, following up with a call. A really friendly, responsive, and professional outfit—The project was completed within four days of my reaching out for quotes—I highly recommend Leo and his team and would hire them immediately for any future project!"

"Jesse and Shambach Contrivers are great to work with. We heard back from him immediately when we requested a quote, he came by the next day, discussed the project and gave us a reasonable quote. His guys were ready to work in a short few days. The crew were experienced and worked hard to fix one preexisting set of steps outside in our yard which weren't installed correctly many years ago, they fixed those, then they made a completely new set of flagstone steps for us in another section of the yard in an area with a steep slope. Both steps are great and the rise on both are exactly the same, the steps are beautiful, sturdy and safe to use. They also cleaned out some overgrown backyard shrubs. We'll hire them for any new jobs we have. We're very happy with the quality of their work!"

"I needed a fence (or really more like a railing) installed along my walk, which my roommate needed to hang onto. I got 3 bids. Remarkable Fence charged half as much as the other two and they did a great job. They gave me just what I needed."

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

Common materials include wood, vinyl, and metal. Wood offers a classic look, while vinyl and metal are low-maintenance options.

To make the gazebo accessible, you can build a wheelchair pathway leading up to it. The path should be paved with a smooth surface for wheelchairs to roll through. A low curb should be placed along each side to ensure the wheelchair stays on the path. At the end of the path, build a wheelchair ramp connecting the gazebo.

Yes, many gazebos are permanent structures built onto the land. However, if you have a portable gazebo that isn’t secured to the ground, you’ll want to check the manufacturer’s instructions to understand when to put it away. Generally speaking, when it’s particularly windy or wet outside, you should take down your temporary gazebo.

The average cost to build or install a gazebo is around $5,700, with prices typically ranging from $3,000 to $10,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. For example, square gazebos and those made from metal can be more expensive, while brick is a more affordable material. Adding custom features like built-in seating or lighting will also increase the price. You can potentially save money by purchasing a prefabricated kit or performing some of the labor yourself.

Log cabins are relatively difficult to maintain compared to a traditional house. That’s because log cabins require regular upkeep and care that can include refinishing and corncob blasting, a process similar to sandblasting that shoots ground-up corncob with compressed air.
