Small jobs welcome

"Anthony and his co-worker showed up, and did a GREAT JOB ! Cleaned up me front and backyard lawns and weeded out the flower beds along the side of the house. They are very professional and because of SOCIAL Distancing he talked with me through the whole process of what he was doing so I could see for myself ! The project was top notch. Not only did they consistently show up on time, but they finishedthe project early and were willing to reschedule the final walkthrough multiple times to accommodate our schedule. Final project turned out great!""

"I contacted four landscapers through Angie's List. Two never responded; one got back to me but couldn't do the work for weeks. John's responded quickly, popped by to survey the job (without me even knowing!) and was able to schedule it within the week. Two men came by and worked for three or four hours on the bed. It was too tough for a tiller, so in the end they used an industrial aerator to loosen the dirt/roots, then raked it out. They did a great job, were very careful of the surrounding garden decorations, and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The job came in right on estimate, despite it being harder than they thought."

"I have been using Roberto's Affordable Landscaping for about a year now. They are a great company to deal with and Roberto leads by example. I recently had them do a very large job in my back yard where I had poison Ivy, allot of small tree's, and overgrown weeds. They cleared it out and even placed all the medium sized rocks in a neat pile in the back corner. I would highly recommend using them for any lawn care, weekly mowing, and large landscape project you would need"

"The team was punctual and did a great job pulling a very overgrown area for weeds. They worked independently and distinguished between the bushes and the weeds very well. The bushes look great now that they can breath. They also hauled all the trimmings. They came when they said they would and charged a fair price. I would definitely hire them next time I have a yard job."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

You should add 1 to 4 inches of mulch, depending on your garden type and needs. Keep in mind that no amount of mulch can completely prevent weeds, but a heavier coverage (closer to 4 inches) can suppress weeds enough that you are only seeing them sprout every few weeks. Finer mulch prevents weeds more effectively than large mulch, so if you’re using mulched leaves or shredded bark, 1 to 2 inches will likely suffice, while 3 to 4 inches is best for larger mulch, like bark chips or straw.

Yes. One of the main benefits of organic mulch is weed prevention. Organic mulch forms a physical barrier that blocks light and stops weeds from germinating. It can reduce your need to weed and improve the physical appearance of your garden.

Too much clover in your lawn can indicate several issues with your soil. Clover can thrive in soils with abnormally high pH, low-cut grass, and low nitrogen. Amending these issues can push clover out for good.

Hardy perennial clover loves the low nitrogen and compact conditions that often come with poor, infertile soils. But other factors also contribute to a clover explosion, including drought conditions, cool temperatures, under fertilization, and over-irrigation. You’ll need to evaluate all these elements when planning to kill off the clover.

If you have a lot of tree roots in your yard or have experienced issues in the past, you should use tree root killer every six months to prevent roots from infiltrating your pipes. If you have an active invasion and aren’t seeing results, check the instructions on the bottle to see how often you can use it in a short period of mine.

Several tools exist that can help remove unwanted grass. The one you choose depends greatly on how much you need to remove and how hard you'd like to work. A sod or turf cutter is the fastest method while using a shovel is labor-intensive and much slower. You may also need a garden rake, tiller, and wheelbarrow.
