"In 2021, I hired Eric to fix a water leak in my basement. I paid approximately $8000. Three months after the work was done, there was leaking again. He came over and told me that this was a different leak. After I saved up enough money, I was referred to an expert in basement leaks/foundations. He came over and completed the work. When he was doing the work, he proactively asked me who did the work previously. He said he was clearly not done by someone with knowledge of foundations. I have tried to resolve with Eric. At a minimum, I deserve a refund"

There are several tools that you will use together to install tiles. Four of the most basic tools needed in tile installation include a notched trowel for applying tile adhesive, a tile cutter or saw for cutting tiles to size, tile spacers for creating the appropriate amount of space between tiles, and a grout float for applying grout.

Installations typically take 1-3 days, depending on area size; repairs are usually completed sooner if the issue is localized.

Ceramic tile installation costs around $2,000, ranging from $500 to $6,500 on average. The size of the area, the tile rating, the type of installation, and the type of ceramic tile impact costs. The cost of installing tile flooring can vary depending on the shape of the floor. Some of the most common floor shapes cost as follows:

  • Square: $2–$10 per square foot

  • Rectangle: $2–$15 per square foot

  • Hexagon: $8–$20 per square foot

  • Mosaic: $10–$30 per square foot

  • Non-standard: Up to $40 per square foot

You can attach tiles to a wall using thin-set mortar. You’ll also need a notched trowel to create grooves within the adhesive so it flattens completely when pressed in and securely holds the wall tiles.
