"Brett was very detail oriented and built us a beautiful patio. His price was competitive, he was friendly, and he adjusted well to unexpected challenges with our house/backyard. He and his assistants put in long hours and got the job done quickly. He was timely and communicated well. We couldn't be happier!"

"Nightmare experience with this shop. Paid almost $5000 for a gas fireplace insert including installation. At the appointment almost 2 months later, the installers came but did not set the gas fireplace up safely/correctly (my plumber told them) and then left to go to another job, leaving mine unfinished. Barry ran my credit card through for the final (third) payment, after failure 1st visit, without my permission when the fireplace was not safe or useable. The second time the installers came, they did not call or page my plumber as had agreed upon. The installers took a sledgehammer to the top of the chimney damaging the crown and the top few rows of bricks of the chimney. Instead of fixing the liner which needed to be near the top of the chimney, they shortened the chimney! Put a top on that was clearly used as it was dented and rusty, not new. Barry was rude and did not return my calls or emails. Barry left the installation with damage and unfinished. I had to hire a professional mason for thousands of dollars to repair the damage and finish the installation. Worst home improvement experience in 35 years I have owned my house."

Good day my name is Paul Ciaramicoli, owner of PAC Professional Plumbing. My company specializes in residential plumbing and gas service as well as hydronic heating. I do not use sub contractors. This allows me to not only to personally guaranty the quality of my work but customer satisfaction as well. I carry a current plumbing license(#32469), and the company carries current liability insurance, and workman's comp. Financing options are cash or check but credit cards will soon be accepted. The current promotion for Angie's list customers is a Labor discount of 10% off any job.

We are a small business that consists of 3 employees including the owner Jonathan who is involved in all aspects of the business. We do not sub contract any of the work we agree to do. All invoices are due upon job completion unless materials have to be special ordered in which case a deposit is required. We do have promotions that happen at different times throughout the year and we do not currently off any financing.

"I was very pleased with my recent service visit from Jonathan at Chimney King of New England. I purchased the fireplace from another company last year. The fireplace only worked a few times and then would shut off. Jonathan quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to replace the faulty parts. Within an hour or so, my fireplace was working again just like before. He was professional, honest, courteous, and respectful. Jonathan also educated me on some of the inner workings of the fireplace and items to look out for next time around. An excellent customer experience."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

No, Teflon tape will not stop a gas leak. In fact, no type of tape is the solution to a gas pipe leak. If you suspect a leak, turn off your home’s gas supply and contact a pro or your utility immediately. Teflon tape is only for preventing leaks during pipe installation, not for repairing existing leaks.

Common signs of gas line leaks include a rotten egg smell, hissing sounds, dead plants around the area of the leak, and unexplained physical symptoms like dizziness and nausea. If you notice any of these signs, act immediately. Shut off the gas supply to your home and call a pro to assess the situation.

Yes, it’s possible to convert an oil furnace to gas. However, you may have to replace the furnace completely instead of simply converting it. If the original oil furnace has had any type of damage or is older (typically considered over 15 years old), then you will likely need a full replacement versus a conversion.

Having gas appliances in your home can be convenient—you benefit from faster water heating, more efficient clothes drying, and more affordable home heating. However, you need to be aware of the signs of a gas leak so that you and your family can take precautions to be safe around these versatile appliances.

Signs of a gas leak include:

  • Hissing sounds

  • Rotten egg smell

  • Higher than usual gas usage

  • Physical symptoms, such as headaches, dizziness, and nausea

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.
