"Called Paul to consult on a quick charger for an electric vehicle as well as to replace several outdoor outlets at my home. He went above and beyond to plot out the best and cheapest path from our electrical panel to the driveway in our renovated and added onto â 50â s ranch. The work he did I was quick and quality. We have plans to have him back for more in the spring. Highly recommend!"

"I called Integrity Electrical after several outlets in the house failed, including the one for the refrigerator. Joe responded immediately, figured out the problem, and did a great job of explaining the work that needed to be done. Joe and Alex upgraded the house to 200 amp service, which involved replacing the electrical panel, upgrading outlets, and replacing a meter box that had water damage. I would not hesitate to call them again."

Small jobs welcome

"I hired Mike to rewire and replace the outlets in my home as well as install brand new lighting, outlets and switches in the finished attic. His workmanship is nothing short of exceptional. It's plain to see that Mike is a professional who cares about his work, and more importantly his clients. His pricing is also very competitive. No need to worry about mile-long contracts and being charged hourly on top of exorbitant fees etc. If you are looking for any kind of electrical work to be done in your home, I highly recommend you give Mike a call or text. I guarantee your experience will be as good as mine was!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In North Andover, homeowners often overlook permit requirements and updates to electrical safety codes, particularly for GFCI and AFCI installations. Attempting complex electrical work without a licensed professional, using indoor-rated materials outdoors, and underestimating the challenges of upgrading knob-and-tube wiring in older homes are frequent errors. Always plan for proper grounding and weatherproofing, especially given the region’s climate and diverse housing stock.

Helpful?

Combining electrical work with other upgrades in North Andover, such as kitchen or bathroom remodels, can streamline the renovation process. Upgrade circuits, add GFCI protection, and improve home wiring while walls are open. For energy efficiency, coordinate electrical updates with insulation or solar panel installations. This approach minimizes disruptions and ensures your electrical system meets modern safety and efficiency standards.

Helpful?

To enhance electrical safety in North Andover homes, install tamper-resistant outlets and GFCIs in areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and finished basements. Use childproof outlet covers, secure loose cords with organizers, and add motion-sensor lighting in stairways. For pets, use cord protectors and ensure outdoor connections are elevated. These steps help safeguard both children and pets, especially in homes with unique layouts or older wiring.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in North Andover, keep a non-contact voltage tester, wire strippers, insulated screwdrivers, and a reliable circuit tester. Stock up on GFCI outlets, 12 and 14 AWG home wiring, and weatherproof electrical boxes for outdoor safety, especially with local storms. Surge protectors help prevent electrical surges, and a bright flashlight is essential for work in basements or attics typical of North Andover homes.

Helpful?

Electrical maintenance in North Andover includes monthly testing of GFCI outlets, quarterly inspection of outdoor wiring for moisture or weather damage, and annual checks of electrical panels and surge protectors. After winter, look for signs of ice or water intrusion, especially in basements. Regularly inspect AFCI protection and, in older homes, assess knob-and-tube wiring to ensure compliance with current electrical safety standards.
